POLICE STATEMENT ON BOMB THREAT AT THE POLICE HEADQUARTERS

St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, Monday, April 27, 2026

The Police Administration is reporting that at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Monday, April 27, an anonymous phone call was made to the Police Headquarters indicating that an explosive device had been planted within the building.

As a precautionary measure, immediate evacuation procedures were activated, and all occupants were safely evacuated from the premises.The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team, assisted by K-9 explosive detection unit, conducted a thorough search of the building and its surrounding areas.

However, no device or any item of an explosive nature was discovered. An “all-clear” was subsequently given, and normal operations have since resumed.

The Police Administration strongly condemns this act, which caused unnecessary alarm and disruption, and is reminding the public that such actions are treated as serious offences.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has launched an investigation into the matter.

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477). All information will be treated with strict confidence.

You all know the old ALP tricks to win election by sympathy, and it gets out the old ALP voters of the Walters era when ALP bomb the place, but gaston is desperate and you can’t put nothing pass him, we saw the custom officer got murdered after the prime minister say his signature was forged, and strange enough Gaston is able to command the police to not do a thing about such criminal act, that signature could have been a signature of engagement of war on some foreign power, we tired of Alp moves for power , we not scared we voting UPP.
