Government ministers to continue Observer Radio boycott

CABINET NOTES:

The Cabinet held a discussion on the ban placed on the Government’s Chief of Staff by the Observer owner, Algernon “Serpent” Watts, a UPP candidate for the upcoming elections.

 

The Cabinet was unanimous in its continued refusal to have Ministers appear on the Observer Radio and before the Observer Media Group for interviews.

 

The Cabinet does not believe that it is appropriate for the UPP to determine for the Government who shall speak on its behalf.

    • Smh Serpent has shown that he is applying logic and reason to a situation that should have been discontinued a long time ago. The Cabinet Notes rightfully should be aired on ABS and not Observer, Pointe FM or any other private station. It is simple as that. I am amaze at all the fuss that this has cause and the nonsense about stifling freedom of expression.

      • Charles, you are in error. The Cabinet Notes should be aired on each and every station. This is news. The people have a right to know.

        • Kristi my point is that the Cabinet Notes by Max Hurst should be carried on ABS the national station live. Yes, other stations can tape it and carry it whenever they choose. However, government news and releases should rightfully be carried first on ABS our national radio station.

  13. Word of warning to people like Darren Matthew Ward and Gemma Handy.
    Right now, you seem to be the champions of the folks down North Street. They are quoting you on your words of advice to Newsco on press freedom, etc. Of course, this sort of thing could never happen the other way around. You will be looking for a new job instantly.
    We all live here and we know when those people are suddenly bigging up someone who is not normally their friend, that something is up. They are no longer hostile. They are kind, even loving. We all learn after that to just wait for the school-children-say, then the swearing of the allegiance in the red shirt.
    Only recently they wanted Ms Handy’s head and work permit for her heroics at the Covid press conferences. Then this was no longer so.
    Darren? Well, he does not want to answer any questions. He just loves to pose them, especially to the persons who would treat him kindly with their answers, like the UPP people, and not rough him up and intimidate him.
    Remember, we all live here and we know what is what and who is who. Serpent did not say Lying Lionel would not be entertained on Observer, just that there would be no special slot for him to spew his toxic poison unchecked. Just that he would have to take up the phone and take his chances getting through like everybody else.
    To the both of you, you need to ask questions like, what became of Shelton Daniel?
    Some masters are easy to serve until you start having trouble sleeping.
