Do not attempt to cross swiftly flowing waters or waters of unknown depth by foot or by vehicle.

Note, just one foot of flowing water is enough to sweep a car off the road. When encountering flooded roads be extremely cautious, and if in doubt, make the smart choice, turn around don’t drown.

A tropical wave continues to generate unsettled conditions over the area.

These conditions are forecast to continue for the rest of the morning before gradually decreasing into the afternoon.

An additional 2-3 inches of rain are possible in heavy downpours, which will be hazardous; hence, moderate to major flooding of low-lying and flood-prone areas is expected.

Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services will continue to monitor the weather situation. Please stay tuned to local radio or television for warning updates.
