The Ministry of Agriculture in Antigua announced today that Dr. Nneka Hull-James will be assuming the position of Animal Health Specialist at the Caribbean Agricultural Health and Food Safety Agency (CAHFSA) as of March 1st, 2024.
CAHFSA, a CARICOM institution, is dedicated to supporting, efficiently coordinating, and harmonizing good agricultural practices.
It provides supporting mechanisms in the areas of animal health, plant health, and food safety across the region.
Dr. Hull-James’ new role will involve coordinating, facilitating, monitoring, and evaluating national programs across CARICOM.
These efforts are aimed at successfully addressing the harmonization of animal health in the region. She is seconded for a two-year term.
The Ministry of Agriculture expressed its best wishes to Dr. Hull-James in her new position, highlighting the importance of her work in promoting animal health and safety in the Caribbean region.
