Social media personality Washington Bramble is experiencing a delay in learning the outcome of her application to halt legal proceedings against her.
Last year, she filed for a stay of proceedings, challenging charges accusing her of insulting Chief Health Inspector Sharon Martin online.
The case, presided over by Justice Ann-Marie Smith, was set for a ruling last Friday but has been postponed until March 27th.
Bramble allegedly posted insulting content about Martin on Facebook in February 2022, following a visit from health inspectors prompted by a neighbour’s complaint.
Representing herself, Bramble aims for dismissal, citing the Electronic Crimes Act’s alleged infringement on her constitutional rights, including freedom of speech.
