Acting Commissioner of Police Atlee Rodney today expressed condolences to the family of a long-serving police officer who died three days after her most recent promotion.

“We are asked to remember her friends and family in our prayers. May the Lord grant them strength at this time of bereavement. May the soul of our dearly beloved Cheryl continue to rest in eternal peace,” Rodney said.
She served the police force for 36 years in various departments.
The death has taken the rank and file of the police service by shock.
