  1. It’s is a travesty that the Cultural Department is being given the bad end of the stick to hold in an event that was coordinated by the Antigua CarifestaTeam and their incompetent set of money hungry employees. But don’t be fooled…THIS WAS NOT A CULTURAL DEPARTMENT PLANNED EVENT. The buck stopped with the intellectuals at Carifesta Office.

Truth be told, the Cultural Department is only the financier as that is where the ‘head’ from which monies were to be taken from. But to say that it is a Cultural Event is an outright LIE and misinformation.

You realise that there is no mention of the Festivals Office when they are the ones charged at producing events and not the Cultural Department as mandated by Minister of Culture. But it’s because the CH, the JW and the PO don’t want to be associated with things that flop, their work entity and names have been removed from the event. Not enough money was there to be made and there was no money for fireworks so I guess those people did not want to proceed.

This shows clear incompetence on the part of the entire Carifesta Organisation. To cancel something ,just a day after launching it shows BAD planning and research and highlights the inept people working in the positions, collecting their enormous salaries at the end of the month.

I dare ANYONE of the them to refute any statements made here…The kettle is ready and Lipton is in my cup. I don’t do sugar or cream. And my hands are a bit shakey so be prepared for me to accidentally SPILL SOME TEA.

    • If the “intellectuals” at the Carifesta office can’t execute a local event, how do they plan to pull off a regional event of a bigger magnitude when Antigua hosts the next Carifesta?? I thought Annette Aflack was supposed to be good at her job?? Senator Govia and Michael Freeland (if I remember correctly) also make up the committee.

Hope they don’t embarass Antigua come next Carifesta
