Chinese Business Sector Benefited from Police Crime Prevention Strategies

Members of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda collaborated with the Chinese Business Sector in Antigua to share in much useful Crime Prevention and Security Strategies.

Head of the Office of Strategic Communications-Stratcom, Inspector Frankie Thomas, and Corporal Anderson Tuitt met with a wide cross-section of Chinese business owners on Sunday at the Multipurpose Cultural Center.

A PowerPoint presentation highlighting several in-depth security measures that would normally not be for the general public consumption was shared with those in attendance.

The meeting came about after discussions between Mr. Wang Erdrong, Chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Antigua and Barbuda, and the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Atlee Rodney to address security measures for Chinese business owners were raised.

The meeting was well received and ended on a good note.

Commissioner Rodney assured that the security around business places in St. Johns and its environs is one of several improved security strategies that are currently being implemented.

He is also committed to meeting with other business owners to have continued dialogue concerning additional security measures to protect their businesses and staff.

  1. Please make this power-point presentation available to all business owners. The crime spree in Antigua is unacceptable and the Police should be arming the business community with any “Crime Prevention and Security Strategies” available. The Police force isn’t keeping crime at bay or able to catch the criminals after the fact, so give power to the people to protect themselves and prevent the crime from happening in the first place!

  2. Chinese Business Sector Benefited From Crime Prevention Strategies. So when are the other local business owners going to meet with the Police to strategize. Are the Chinese front, middle and center of the Police Force.Next thing they would be taking over the Force.

  3. Imagine living in a country where 90 high percent of the crimes(robberies) are against the local small businesses and only to come on here to read this. I mean my problem isn’t the fact they had the meet but rather the fact it didn’t include all business owners.

It only leaves one to question motives and speculate that those in authority doesn’t have the interest of my kind at heart

  4. Kunta kente: Who are the owners of Antigua? If you did not know. The Chinese are in charge/owners. They called the shots in this our Nation.

    • I thought it was the Jamaicans and Syrians who have always called the shot in Antigua but not in Barbuda.

  5. Wow, locals antigans really hate the Chinese….the people build free stadium for y’all and make other donations including vaccines now, and yet y’all hate them for selling stuff cheap. You rather go and buy expensive stuff from epicurean and the Syrians and then complain you have no money left. Antigans only want free handouts and parties like from Stanford and the other Ayre Canadian wanna be Stanford…biggest crooks around but they fete yalll with a little free rum and you nice….
