Crowdfunding for Mannie James, the jet ski operator killed in a police-involved shooting last month, edges closer to its goal as GoFundMe donations reach 25%.

James, remembered as a devoted family man, lost his life during a high-speed chase, prompting loved ones to seek funds for his funeral expenses and support for his children.

The campaign has garnered $650 of its $2500 target.

Meanwhile, the opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) criticizes the government’s lack of financial aid, calling for assistance in such tragic cases.

The government promises a thorough investigation into James’ death, while officers involved undergo counseling.

  1. We are deeply saddened with the news of Mannie sudden death. We have been calling Antigua our second home for over ten years. And we would always search for Mannie and his dear friend Robin for our daily Jet Ski rides. You will be dearly missed, for you are in our happiest memories of Antigua. Rest In Peace Our dear friend.

    • The officers involved are undergoing counselling? And what about his family, his children, his parents?
