CABINET NOTES – The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda recently engaged in discussions with Signature Flight Support Operation at V.C Bird International Airport, focusing on the ongoing security breaches caused by a hangar near Runway 10.

As a result of the discussions, the Cabinet decided that all lands within the airport boundaries should be held by the government or its agency, The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority, for public purposes.

The aim is to secure all lands for expansion and security purposes, and the government has assured just compensation for the affected landowners.

  1. Will the Air Peace passengers get Visa free access? Will they have to show proof of accommodations or a ticket for onward journey?

  2. Makeda Mikael the black slave masters coming after you. The same oreo cookie men that gave jail bud Allen Stanford the same lands to get rich.

  3. Makeda…Gaston coming for your land because you black and local and he don’t like that!! If you was white, Arab or African with plenty money then you would be fine.

  4. Finally! Makes a never did anything with that land anyways. She just hoarded it all and did nothing. So many opportunities she could have had but that’s what happens when you have no sense of business at all. She had a failed private jet aviation business which was operated terribly and gave her such a bad reputation. It’s time that the government take the land and expand the airport business. I’m glad that Signature took a stand and is doing something about it because she has been a nightmare for them. It’s time for Makeda, the Antiguan Allen Stanford to get off the airport

  5. A wrong that is being put right very shortly. Should have happened under Stanford. Makeda always preached that it was wrong. I wonder what she would say now that she is the land owner within the Airport boundaries. But then again this will be a perfect opportunity for her to cash in. As the government will have to pay her off dearly, since she wanted to sell a long time ago but could not get the amount she wanted from the government. But it doesn’t mean she will be replaced. She will now be entitled to a long-term lease of 99 years. But no more freehold of lands.

  6. Dear Government,
When did you hatch this plan?

And exactly why did you turn over property that you owned to West Indies Cricket Board?

    Seem confused to me….

By the way do you know when West Indies Cricket will vacate their spot which affects the security of aircraft landings?

Oh one last thing remember to give Hourani notice and whomever own the former observer building.
