Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport

Loop News –The BVI Airports Authority is informing the public that all three airports in the territory are now fully operational and normal operations have resumed.

The Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport was re-opened after being briefly closed on Monday.

However,  it was stated the airport would be re-opened to international traffic on July 18.

The airports on Virgin Gorda and Anegada were also closed temporarily on Monday as a result of operational issues within the Fire Services.

This temporary closure was done to bring resolution to the issue which would allow the resumption of normal operations.

The BVI Airports Authority has apologised for any inconvenience caused due to the closure of the airports and thanked the travelling public for its indulgence as the Authority seeks to ensure that safety is maintained at all times.
