Bus drivers expressed concerns today after one of their colleagues was attacked and robbed by three bandits at the West Bus Station Monday night.

The assailants reportedly ran off with the driver’s money bag after striking him at the back of his head around 11:30 pm.

Bus drivers at the West Bus Station said the police post at the terminal closes at 10:00 pm, while some bus operators work as late 2:00 am.

Bus Driver Tony DeSouza, said sometimes he works until 11:00 in the night, told state media he was shaken up by the incident.

“But now since that incident… once the police and them left from the station, that’s it for me”, he said.

Police are still searching for the attackers; two of whom are said to be 6 feet tall and the other described as being about 5 feet, six inches.
