British visitor found dead in his room

An employee on a cruise ship that docked in Antigua Wednesday night has been found dead in his room.

(ANR) understands that the 61-year-old British national, employed as an entertainer, was discovered by room service attendants onboard the vessel.

Sources say there were no signs of trauma on the body, which was examined by medical personnel  who pronounced him dead.

The body has since been transported to the Barnes Funeral Home.

Investigations are ongoing

  3. This ABLP government cannot go into an election without paying the thousand of vendors , suppliers and local contractors. I am calling on all you people that go to the treasury and walk out week after week, month after month to standup. You and your families have been suffering for too long. They pay the Middle Eastern contractors . Look Kool is now one of this country biggest contractor. They are building for national housing. They are crediting school meal food stuff bought from local supplies, then put on a big mark up . I am talking stuff like chicken and rice. Then they walk into the treasury and walk out full handed, while the thousands of Antiguans walk out empty handed. Our tax money turn these people into millionaires and billionaires. Then they turn around and finance elections , give candidates big finance donations, give politicians and political parties big donations, sponsor carnival queens, sports clubs , even national team traveling with uniforms. They are Praised by our people because our people do not know or understand where they are getting the money from.
    Same thing politicians just put their hands in their pockets and take out big rolls of money and give away. They are giving you your own money they steal. Do you think anyone will give away hard earned money like that ? No way!
    We just cannot continue to support this blatant corruption. All you people that use your two pence and buy uniform materials and make uniforms and not getting paid stand up . All you lock contractors, service providers- security companies, cleaning companies, heavy duty equipment owners and operators stand up , Aall you suppliers- especially the small ones that are taken advantage of stand up. You have in 4 months time to let your voices be heard. After that you will be repeating the same cycle of insults when you ask for what is yours. Antiguans and Barbudas don’t you feel like beggars in your own country. Don’t day behave like they are doing you a favor when ever they give you what they call SOMETHING. They compete with you in businesses that were in your families for generations and pass you up overnight. Using the government treasury- time yo pay up of shift our.

    • Why don’t all the contractors and business people owed money have a big demonstration in St. John’s and shut down the country? Man, bring your construction equipment and park them on Market Street and High Street. Unless people owed money take action just before the election, you are not getting paid. The labour government don’t respect or care about black people. They only pander to the non nationals and poor people in pointe and villa to get their votes to stay in power.

    • So sad to hear that someone has lost their life under these mysterious circumstances; but as everyone knows that it goes without saying, that to be employed in the cruise ship industry, you have to be vaccinated. So sad!

      Hopefully, this isn’t another case Sudden Adult Death Syndrome …
