He stated that while there had been speculation, he used his radio show to confirm the recent discovery.

Browne, who is also the MP for the area, mentioned that the site might have served as an unofficial burial ground.

Work is expected to continue at Booby Alley despite the discovery of the bones, which the Prime Minister noted are at a very advanced stage of deterioration.

He also confirmed that local experts, including law enforcement, have been called in to examine the site.

More details to follow.

  1. Guess to Labourites, unless Gaston says so it is not the truth. So they have to wait on Gaston to tell them what is truth, dispute what their eyes and ears tell them.

  2. Growing up in Point and Villa, I’ve often heard the elders mention the area known as Booby Alley was in part a cemetery.
Several years ago, when the Booby Alley Project was announced, there was a limited discussion, on whether or not the project would be disturbing #hallowed_ground? There was no real movement or concern to actually look into the “ Community’s History; so, as far as I know, that was that.

The project MUST be halted and a proper ground search using, ground penetration radar or satellite imagery for complete verification.
I know, it’s Antigua where the history of some of its former inhabitants don’t matter.

The Lady Nugent Cemetery, now this. Could this “alleged” cemetery have being tied to the Church’s in the neighborhood? What does their history say? Where are the Real Community Activists?

  3. I wish that Gaston would make some sense sometimes. If the area mentioned, in his estimation, is an ‘unofficial burial ground ‘ , then forensic investigation is needed. Whose remains are they, how and possibly, when did they die? I suppose it means nothing to him, especially if there are any gunshot victims and the perpetrator/s discarded the guns ‘however they see fit’.

  4. This site was used for burial back in the days that means its a sacred site and shouldn’t be distributed. Glaston do the right thing, knowing how you feel about point people you can’t blame even our ancestors for you up bringing. The Chines would’ve never distributed a site like that in China, why would you want to disrespect our religions Before continuing you should research Anglican church history to see what’s there, being so closely to Bethel it have to be some connections. May God help you people if you continue.

  5. It is known that lead paint was used prior to 1978… what other soil contaminants were found…
Where is the soil test results?
