Antiguan native Kelly E. Morrissey receives New Pittsburgh Courier’s 2021 Men of Excellence Award

Deputy Kelly E. Morrissey, has been a member of the Pennsylvania State Constable’s office for many years, serving as judicial and court room security. Kelly Morrissey, currently serves as a Deputy Sheriff of Allegheny County Reserve Motorcycle Division.

 

During the period of 2015 to current, he served as a Pinkerton Agent as well as a federal protective service officer.

 

Mr. Morrissey also served on several boards over the last 20 years.

 

He served as a member of The Pittsburgh CERT Team, member of the Governors office of Homeland Security, member of the Pittsburgh Emergency Police, member of the CCA, member of the CMA, member of the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Association, member and participant of the Counter terrorism program, member of FEMA and PEMA. Mr. Morrissey also served as a former Board member of Wow Global, Board Member of Pace Pittsburgh, and member of the Prince Hall Masonic Temple.

 

 

Mr. Morrissey has achieved many personal and professional accomplishment’s including successful completion of being a restaurant owner to name a few.

 

In his early professional career, he spent over 14 years in sales and marketing, where he excelled professionally and has developed strong people skills and mastered networking and interpersonal skills.

 

Coupled with his innate skills, compassion and love for all people, in addition, to his strong Antiguan roots.

 

When asked about successes, he often will start with work, growing up in Antigua, and his grandmother who was his inspiration and motivation, instilling in him values, morals and good work ethics.

  1. Unlike many others who have migrated to the metropolitan countries and now suffer with a superiority complex, it is nice to know that this humble gentleman has not forgotten his roots as to where he is from and from who he acquired his morals & values…….

    • Are you referring to that former UPP candidate who was supposed to build a chicken farm and run against Max Fernández? Can’t remember his name (Doc),but ppl were saying he had dual citizenship like Missa Knight.

  2. Are we this desperate to find good in our country that we desperately point to those who left and made good… we see these kinds of articles frequently. Anything good being done by Antiguans in Antigua? You don’t see other countries publishing the successes of their citizens living overseas.
