The upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, will be visible in parts of the eastern North Pacific, Eastern United States, and the northern North Atlantic.

While a partial eclipse will be seen over a broader area, including most of the Caribbean, including Antigua and Barbuda, the sun’s obscuration during this event will be minimal, at 1.58% for Antigua and 2.3% for Barbuda.

Such low levels of obscuration are unlikely to be noticeable without specialized equipment.

If you plan to observe the eclipse, make sure to use proper eyewear for protection.
