Antigua and Barbuda Combine Student’s Requirements

This first ABFA College Combine is expected to host 70 of Antigua and Barbuda’s top
secondary school and amateur footballers. Boys and Girls will be given the opportunity to play in front of college scouts for a place in their programs. Being athletically gifted is not the only thing necessary to matriculate from high school to college/university. Student athletes are expected to meet specific academic requirements. The requirements are listed below:

● All players must be 15-19 years of age.
● All players must be complete amateurs; never signed a professional contract or received
monetary compensation for football.
● All players must have access to do the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or the
American College Testing (ACT). Those who have yet to and already taken the SAT
must have a minimum score of 900. Please note this have been waive at some colleges
for 2023.
● All players must have access to their OFFICIAL Transcript from their most recent or
current school.

The NCAA Academic Requirement for Divisions I and II are listed in the table below.

NCAA Div 3 requirements differ based on the school’s academic standard. Student athletes are still expected to have done a standardized test and can prove that English is a spoken language.

While at a Division 3 program students must be enrolled in at least 4 classes a semester totaling
12 credits.

NJCAA/ Junior College simply require that students be a high school/ secondary school graduate
earning an approved certificate/ diploma. Student athletes can also be eligible if they have
completed an equivalency test, like the GED.
