After successful exit strategy for Esworth Martin, Gaston Browne targets 4 other public servants for possible dismissal

Prime Minister Gaston Browne has announced that his government will be taking strong and decisive action against three senior officials in statutory corporations who have been causing severe disruption and impeding the progress of the government.

The Prime Minister’s stern warning leaves no doubt that he means business and those who have been hindering the progress of the government are sure to feel the full weight of his wrath.

“We are not spiteful, but we are holding people responsible. There are three others in which immediate action will be taken against them. They hold management positions in three statutory organizations…

“There is another person. A fourth one. I don’t want to say the gender. But that person is so obnoxious and rude, I am telling that person if you continue to undermine the government, you are going to be in trouble”.” Browne said

The General Manager of APUA, Esworth Martin, has been asked to go on pre-retirement leave by the government. This decision was made in the best interest of the residents who have been suffering from the inadequate services provided by APUA under Martin’s management.

Prime Minister Browne clarified that he has nothing personal against Martin, who has been in that position for over three decades. However, he stated that Martin has failed to perform professionally, causing residents to become dissatisfied.

This dissatisfaction reached a point where the government almost lost the last general election. On a positive note, Browne also revealed that Martin will not lose any benefits.

“We pay him all his benefits, everything. We didn’t hurt him, we didn’t take anything from him, he isn’t losing anything. All we are saying is go ahead because we want to accelerate the reforms that are necessary within APUA, including the reform in the water department,” Browne said

  1. Did Gaston Browne call someone obnoxious and rude? The case of the coal kiln calling and the coal pot black? AWDFYT???

  2. Wait, let me get this straight
Gaston calling other people obnoxious and rude?

Hmm if that’s not the case of the pot calling the kettle black..

    Well, well, wonders never cease🤔🫣

  3. The People are targeting your crooked, bad minded ass to get rid of you and your band of misfits messing up the nation.

  4. Utterances that make for excellent grounds for legal action. We cannot have employees stymie government plans and programs but the PM must watch his words as they could cost the government millions in damages. The extremely poor water system in Antigua didn’t start yesterday and it is going to take prudent management and adequate resources to bring about lasting improvement.

    • No water improvement , not going to happen , no matter who is government because, it doesn’t fall into the plans and guidelines of The Powers that be , The Pope, WEF an their Alphabet Agencies an Organizations.

  5. There’s one other SENIOR official that needs to go immediately, and then Antigua & Barbuda will witness an amazing benefit … guess who?
