Education Minister Daryll Mathew announced that the new wing of the Antigua and Barbuda Institute of Continuing Education (ABICE) will offer courses in plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and carpentry starting in February.
Funded by British Philanthropist Sir David Harrison, the expansion aims to enhance technical and vocational education.
Recent partnerships with InfoTech from the Dominican Republic and a Canadian institution will support capacity building and expert training. ABICE, formed in 2007, focuses on providing opportunities through Technical and Vocational Education Programmes.

The financial support from the Harrison Centre is expected to transform ABICE, fostering the development of critical skills in Antigua and Barbuda.

The official name is “The Harrison Center for Social Mobility”
The GOAB should be ashamed that a project that was supposed to be completed a year ago was delayed due to their incompetence.
The philanthropist passed away late last year, before the delayed opening of the Center. What a shame!!
