(Dashboard Update for September 22, 2021)

 

 

The most recent reports received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) revealed one hundred and thirty-eight (138) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday 18th September 2021 at 6pm.

 

 

Of the one hundred and thirty-eight (138) cases, twenty-two (22) are for the 15th September, eleven (11) for the 16th September, ninety-four (94) for the 17th September and eleven (11) for the 18th September, 2021.

 

 

Three hundred and sixty-seven (367) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and two hundred and fifty (250) were processed by CARPHA.

 

 

Seventy-four (74) recovered cases were recorded; four (4) on the 15th September, one (1) on the 16th September, sixty-five (65) on the 17th September and four (4) on the 18th September increasing the total to one thousand six hundred and fifty-eight (1658).

 

 

Five (5) Covid-19 related deaths were recorded; two (2) on the 15th September, two (2) on the 17th September and one (1) on the 18th September 2021 increasing the total to sixty (60).

 

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is two thousand seven hundred and forty-one (2741); which is inclusive of one thousand and twenty-three (1023) active cases.

 

There are fifty-six (56) hospitalized cases; thirty-eight (38) mild, three (3) moderate and fifteen (15) severe.

 

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated thirty seven thousand six hundred and forty-six (37,646) individuals while eight thousand seven hundred and seventy-eight (8,778) have only received their first dose.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
