4 Antiguans Among Eastern Caribbean Nationals Deported From The U.S. In 2022

(St. Lucia Times) — Four Antiguans were among thirty-two Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) nationals deported from the United States in 2022, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Annual Report.

The list included ten Saint Vincent and the Grenadines citizens, five Dominicans and four nationals each of Saint Lucians and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The ICE report did not clearly indicate the reasons for the deportations.

But it indicated that in 2022, U.S. authorities conducted nearly twice the number of administrative arrests in 2021.

The United States created ICE in 2003 by merging the investigative and interior enforcement elements of the former U.S. Customs Service and the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Today, ICE, a premier federal law enforcement agency, has over 20,000 law enforcement and support personnel in more than 400 offices across the United States and worldwide.

Yes Antiguans live in other people’s country and when they break the law they get deported. Wish Antigua would do the same to all the illegal non nationals and foreign criminals.

      • Antigua has no immigration law so all and the family move into Antigua leaving no space for Antiguanthey see a house and they ride free

Just remember that a lot of non native born Antiguans are running around with Antiguan passports. So because they say Antiguans don’t necessarily mean they born ya.

  1. We need to check dem birth certificates. But only 4? Thousands of Jamaicans, Guyanese, and spanish smaddy get deport every year.

  2. We all wish ALL Jamaicans livin in ANTIGUA get deported jus bcos their NOTHING but a people of useless nuisances can’t speak proper English their poorly or NON EDUCATED asses out of antigua.

    • WOW @ “I hate ALL JAMAICANS IN”. See what I mean?! Hurtful words! How can you sit there saying you hate ALL Jamaicans? Have ALL Jamaicans wrong you? Ignorance! Man, I’m done!

  3. Ooohhhh stop it! It’s sad to see the attitudes of Antiguans here. I remember years ago I thought Antigua looked like gold because of the snobbish and boastful attitude of Antiguans I’d met at university, until I came here. I came here and was shocked at some of these very pompous people living conditions. The plenty little old board houses and the unavailability of water and latrines were beyond me. Now I’m not bashing anyone here, Antigua is a good place to live still, but I’m saying, stop being so pompous, Antigua isn’t gold. Chill. There are plenty better places than here. So what if persons from other countries come here to live? Every other country has that too. And Antiguans are living all over the world too, but you don’t here anyone down talk you guys like that.

Go travel the world! You’ll know what I’m talking about and you’ll stop down talk other countries. In fact, go and visit the Caribbean countries that you tend to bad talk a lot, Jamaica, Santo Domingo and Guyana… You’ll be shocked at how far more advanced they are in comparison to here, especially Santo Domingo.

Antigua is in a mess because of the labour government that has been in power for over 50 years. They care nothing about native born Antiguans and rebuilding the infrastructure of this country. They have run up billions of dollars in debt and a lot of the money has gone in their own pockets as the country doesn’t show where the money went. Native Antiguans are fed up and want to be rid of this government and they know it. So what do they do, they bring in non nationals and grant them amnesty to vote for them. They don’t care about the filthy conditions and lack of development of the country. Just staying in power and continue their self enrichment schemes. If some Antiguans resent non nationals, it is because they are used by the labour government and roped in by the saying that the opposition don’t like foreigners. The non nationals encounter the same problems as native born. Lack of water and a filthy environment. Lack of proper housing and believe me most of the people living in “plenty little board houses” are non nationals being exploited with minimal wage.
So you see Antigua will not be far more advanced when the labour government only cares about self enrichment and uses the non national vote to stay in power. Next election vote this government out of power for the betterment of the country if you intend to make Antigua your home. The labour government ministers live the high life in their grand mansions and couldn’t care less about the filthy conditions of the country. They probably don’t even drive through St. John’s.

    • If they are so advanced, then why are they coming to our country? Antigua is still gold to me, even though I live in the US. You could not pay me to go to Jamaica or the Dominican Republic, even on vacation.

  4. I guest someone who talks like this never travel can you see there is not much Antiguan here because why they all around the world you back bite them people if all of them go home Antigua will be empty because the Antiguan is out of there country just like any ordar national so stop this fullish ness is not all Jamaican is the same there is good there is bad people all around the world and speaken like that is wrong you not better .you bitter

  5. This is not healthy for a united Caribbean the narrative is tasteless Black History Month should be every day the consciousness and love and acceptance of our people people are deported every hour in the Us and other Countries we go to church and clap and sing but some of us got it in we stomach there is no love let’s not go down that road rebuke it in Jesus name fall on your knees and pray and remove that bitterness that ids of the devil let love be seen in though words and deeds reach out and help a brother or a sista

  6. I am just happy to see the US ANNOUNCING these deportations. The criminals here are devious, hateful and creative in their wrongdoing. You can’t unleash someone who has fallen in with them on unsuspecting and relatively innocent Antiguan people. The deportees have done their time, but they need to be REINTEGRATED into society, taught job skills etc.
