4 new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda

(Dashboard Update for April 21, 2022)

 

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment revealed four (4) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Tuesday 19th April, 2022 at 6pm.

 

Forty-eight (48) samples were processed.

 

Fifteen (15) recovered cases were recorded.

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is seven thousand five hundred and seventy-one (7,571); which is inclusive of thirty-four (34) active cases.

 

There are no hospitalized cases.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

    21% of deaths reported to VAERS after COVID vaccine occurred within 48 hours
    Historically, government reporting system only documents 1% of adverse events

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today released new data showing a total of 1,237,647 reports of adverse events following COVID vaccines were submitted between Dec. 14, 2020, and April 15, 2022, to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). VAERS is the primary government-funded system for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S.

    The data included a total of 27,349 reports of deaths – an increase of 373 over the previous week – and 222,836 serious injuries, including deaths, during the same time period – up 2,971 compared with the previous week.

    Excluding “foreign reports” to VAERS, 807,242 adverse events, including 12,566 deaths and 80,170 serious injuries, were reported in the U.S. between Dec. 14, 2020, and April 15, 2022.
