A Golden Grove woman remains traumatized, after she was sexually violated by a man who broke into her home.

Reports say the 22-year-old victim was awakened by a masked male figure standing at her bedside.  It is alleged that he asked about a ring she wore on her finger and the woman told him he could have it.

Allegedly, the intruder then instructed her to remove her underwear and then committed the illegal act.

Reportedly, the alleged offender was dressed in a pair of long blue jeans and a black long-sleeved, turtleneck shirt.  He is said to be dark in complexion, of a medium build, and about 5’ 8” in height.

It is alleged that the ordeal left the woman visibly shaken.

A report of the rape was made to the Grays Farm Police Station by a 911 operator.

Officers visited the scene to conduct investigations and interviewed the victim in the presence of a relative.

When the police made checks of the house, they reportedly discovered that the alleged rapist had used a cement block and a blue drum to gain height and access a bedroom window that was closed, but not locked.

Reportedly, he made his escape through a living room door.

Officers searched the surrounding areas for anyone fitting the description of the perpetrator, but without success.

This offence reportedly occurred at about 3:29 a.m. on Thursday, February 23.

Meanwhile, a man who was facing a number of charges under the Sexual Offences Act has been acquitted.

He had been indicted on four counts of rape and four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a female.

The accused, who had pleaded not guilty to the charges, was found not guilty on all of them by a jury of his peers on Thursday, February 23.

The case was tried in the High Court before Justice Ann Marie Smith.-REAL NEWS

  1. So now I’m wondering 🤔if I should be in sorrow for this woman!!!

So many times and I am so tired of hearing women been violated by the the opposite sex n left traumatized when they’re the one who is causing it on themselves.
How can u left you windows 🪟, doors 🚪 etc unlocked? Not saying mistakes doesn’t happen but it has been in the news ever so often so we should have learned by now to check all windows and doors b4 bedtime this is happening too often now.
Nowadays when I’m reading this type of news the first part I look 4 is how the perpetrators enter and as always the same way.
LADIES ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT ARE LIVING ALONE IT IS YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO PROTECT AND SAFEGUARD YOUR LIFE PROPERTY N POSSESSIONS.

    • This thing is getting getting out of hand. Everybody needs to go to YouTube and learn how to set up boobi trapped windows. You got to protect yourself from intruders. The lega system sucks.

    • Woah!!!!!! How you going to say she brought it on herself. I will admit she could have done more. but she didn’t ask for this to happen and she was obviously watched

  2. Is there a #serial_rapist on the prowl working these neighborhoods(Green Bay to Nut Grove, Golden Grove, Ottos Area)?

  3. R u dumb, jj, a young woman leaves her windows open, and gets raped. It’s her fault????? She should have not to worry about this. Give all young woman a gun, and this will stop. Youg men, don’t take what ant yours.

  4. Join a Gun Club in Antigua. Then apply for a license to carry. When anyone comes into your house without authorization. You take your gun fire and hit target. Perhaps those of criminal minds would then changed their ways. If you are afraid to use a weapon. Installed some Ring Cameras around the outside of your house. When anyone approaches your house it would alert you at all times.

  5. Jj are you for real? This rapist used a drum and a blocks to climb up on, a very determined act and might be someone who’ve been watching this girl for sometime.

  6. It is insensitive and inappropriate for one to suggest that an individual in the confines of their home should be exploited because they left a window or even a door open. It is outrageous and grievous to know people will subtly support and or justify such a blatant disrespect and disregard for the privacy, dignity and mental capacity of another. Did you miss the part that outlined that the young lady was visibly traumatized? Why not join the call for our protective agencies be equipped with the necessary tools for DNA testing? Why not ask for real measures to be in place to assist with combating acts such as these? Why not consider the impact this may have on the young lady, her family and the surrounding community? Some of us need to think before we write a post. Ultimately, our contribution can help a nation to heal or continue the violate, hurt and further traumatized individuals! Jj do better! Stop trivializing serious matters with primitive thinking and responses!
