Young Antiguan cricketers arrive safely in London
This morning, High Commissioner H.E. Karen-Mae Hill met with young Antiguan cricketers who travelled to the United Kingdom on a cricket exchange programme to assigned clubs.
Essan Warner – Keyworth CC, Nottingham,
Demari Benta – Bingham Cricket Club,
Elroy Francis Jr – Grantham CC, Lincolnshire,
Uri Smith – Harrow St Mary Cricket Club, London, and Tonya Martin – Crouch End CC, London will be training and safely participating in local matches with their British peers until August.
This initiative is made possible through a partnership between the Antigua Exchange Cricket Programme, Ministry of Sports, and High Commission.

Glad you reached safely.
What happened to the Antigua shirts?
You looked excellent at VCBA but certainly were not visually representing on arrival to London, where the country needs positive exposure & PR.
Please consider wearing your Antigua shirts on arrival to your clubs, for the ‘welcome to the club ‘ photos and any photos at the end of your tour.
Ministry of Sports, why on Earth did you not brief these fine young representatives as to the importance of their presence in a key tourism market?????
Ministry of Tourism – did you give bags or similar branded merch to each young person to give to the clubs they will develop with????
Tourism is Everybody’s Business… Remember that A&B tagline? We all gotta work it people.
Thankfully H.E. Karen-Mae Hill will likely save the day as she is on point & focused.
