A severe fire has laid waste to the Yacht Club Marina, known for housing the renowned Alfa Nero yacht.

The blaze also engulfed neighboring establishments, including Skull Duggery café, Cloggy’s, Dock Master Office, and Dockside Liquor.

This devastating incident has led to the loss of over 100 jobs, dealing a severe blow to the local community and economy.

  1. I hope everybody is safe. Hopefully insurance will help cover the losses and wages. Some residents in English Harbour have money so they should support the community, especially the staff who are out of work and will suffer the most.

    I’m not a bandwagonist, so I’m not going to wait for others to comment on this.
    This is not a coincidence that a fire broke out at this dock yard, I can smell a rat all the way here from Florida.
    Sorry to hear this, but just yesterday I put an message to a thread here on ANR that Gatson Browne and the likes better watch themselves with these Russians, and no sooner than I wrote that message, here we are with this news.

    We warned of this, and now an entire dock yard is wiped out and 100 poor people are out of their jobs.
    These are the things that happen Gatson when you make irrational decisions which affect hard working people.
    Shame on you..I put the blame directly on you. Just take the advice of your voters and leave the damn man boat alone and we would not be here.

    Now look at where we are? Spending thousands a day for upkeep of this boat and now businesses are lost.

    Time for this man to go.. smdh.
