Work being done to clear blocked sewer line at new airport terminal

There is no cause for concern about work being done just outside the new terminal building of the V.C. Bird International Airport.

An excavator was seen this week digging an area just in front of the arrivals area and removing pipes.

The area has been cordoned off with tape and orange traffic cones.

Antigua News Room (ANR) contacted the Antigua and Barbuda Airports Authority (ABAA) and was informed that work was being carried out to clear a blocked sewage line.

Director of Operations Edward Gilkes said work commenced on Monday and should wrap up this evening.

Sewage lines run all around the airport, Gilkes said.
