UPDATE: We did contact the police station right afterwards and nothing had been handed in. The police has been asked to give us a call if it is returned however this was on Monday and it is now Wednesday and nothing has been given in so hence the reason why the guest requested the notice.
Public Notice:
“I am appealing for a woman who was eating a late lunch at Boom Restaurant with her teenage daughter on Monday.
She ordered a chicken salad and shrimp pasta and 2 Shirley temples.
She paid with a scotia bank card at 5.30 pm and on her way out she found my black leather purse on the path leading from the restaurant to the car park.
She picked it up came back to the restaurant and asked the supervisor if I was staying there (she had my licence and credit cards) asked if I had lost something and then asked for my mobile number (which they couldn’t give for security reasons).
She did not leave a message or hand in my wallet ! She left in a white sports car without saying anything else.
It’s been over 24hrs and we are appealing for her to do the right thing by returning the purse to the Admiral’s Inn & Gunpowder Suites or Boom restaurant before we take action with the police (using surveillance cameras and tracking the card which she used to pay for her meal).”
Thank you very much. Kelly Hartman.”

Why didn’t she left it at the restaurant am pretty sure they would have gotten it back to the owner.
I hope you get your items back. Have her backsides arrested. She could be charged for fraud and forgery. Pretending to be you and by using your credit card.

Reread the article and see if you misinterpreted what you read.

Accepting a gift for someone, but keeping it for your personal use – is that teefing too?
I have a feeling that the founder is looking for a finders fee that’s why she didn’t leave the bag at the desk. She wanted to return it to the owner hoping that she would be rewarded for returning the items.
Must one be rewarded for doing the right thing? It’s not yours! If you could not get the owner’s contact details from the restaurant, why not turn it in at the police station that is right outside of the dockyard?
Because dem might worserer tief um.
