A 36-year-old woman was granted bail for allegedly stabbing another woman this week.

Debra Larmond was not required to make a plea when she appeared in the Magistrates Court this morning since the case is set to be tried in the High Court.

Investigators say Larmond stabbed a Potters woman during an altercation at a bar on Old Parham Road on Monday.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 in the morning.

After examining the complainant’s medical form, the court assessed the injuries to be relatively minor.

Bail was set at $10,000 with a cash component of $1,000.

Lamond has to report daily to the St. John’s Police Station and must surrender all her travel documents.

She will return to court for committal proceedings on December 6.
