Woman struck by vehicle on Old Parham Road

A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a vehicle as she attempted to cross Old Parham Road on Christmas Eve night.

The incident happened near M&M Service Station.

According to reports,  a driver yielded to allow the woman to cross the road but another vehicle failed to stop and collided with her.

The woman, who was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, complained of pain about her body.

  1. Drivers who do not yield to the vehicles in front of them should feel the law severely esp if they are guilty of the offence. However, there are some drivers who are infront of other vehicles and do some ignorance…. For instance, they may choose to slightly pull to the side to allow a pedestrian to pass, yet still the hand signal is not used to indicate to the driver behind to stop, hence that driver may then choose to overtake. As drivers we need think of the drivers in front & behind of us….Driving does not only rely on the lights of the vehicle but also the hand signals that we taught are to use.

  2. You luddy! Some people don’t even study the hand signals! You are wishing for plenty..just saying..No indicating (Highly annoying), overtaking on the left, not following the rules of the Roundabout etc
