REAL NEWS: A woman is recovering emotionally and physically after reportedly being raped by a masked man, at her home, in the early morning hours.
The offence reportedly occurred at about 5 a.m. on September 21.
Reports say the victim’s vision was obscured by her attacker, who shined a light into her eyes.
However, the rapist, said to be about 5’5” tall, reportedly was dressed in a grey hooded sweatshirt that helped to conceal his identity.
It is alleged that the intruder entered the home via the front door, which was closed but not locked.
The victim made a report to the Grays Farm Police Station, by phone, and the matter was subsequently turned over to the Special Victims Unit (SVU).
Meanwhile, a healthcare professional tells REAL News there have been quite a number of rapes in the Golden Grove and Gray Hill communities.
He says he cannot understand why the Police are suppressing this information, which women should have in order to protect themselves.

The description of the rapist and his method of operation in these known attacks have been the same, leading one victim to declare that a serial rapist is on the loose.

Guys like these need their penis to be cut off! There’s no full recovery from being raped, it affects you for a lifetime. But I guess most police are men, they’ll never have to deal with being raped, so they don’t understand and they frankly don’t care.

I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll say it again; there seems to be a serial rapist loose on the island, and targeting females living alone.
How on earth this isn’t being tackled by the relevant authorities just beggars belief.
The women of Antigua are getting a raw deal from the police, the government and any other relevant security authorities.
What will it take for something to be done? A politicians wife or daughter to be attacked?
We all have daughters, sisters and mothers that need protection. I’m sick and tired of this lack of concern and inaction. Sick!

Crime is getting out of control in Antigua. People are losing fate in the judicial system.
Antiguans continue to refuse to take responsibility for their own “self-protection”. Antiguan Police force is a joke and everyone knows this ;yet, people fail to take precautions to protect themselves.
You know what is upsetting, reading in the paper that my role model Cutie Benjamin said he is satisfied with the work of the police.
He can not be that blind or ignorant or incompetent. Do you not see what is going on, and again, it is the kind of crimes that my flooding policing tactic would drastically decrease.
