Woman fighting for her life after being struck by vehicle

The Family of a 61-year-old woman who was struck by a motorist on Tuesday night is said to be fighting for her life.

 

Elpa Perez was reportedly crossing the road when she was hit.

 

According to her daughter, Perez remains in the Intensive Care Unit after the Tindale Road accident.

 

The potato pudding vendor suffered injuries to her head, ribs and shoulder.

 

The driver of the vehicle is assisting police with investigations.

  1. People love to walk out in the road without looking properly or stick out their hand and start walking out in front a car assuming a car can stop just so. While pedestrians have right of way, car don’t feel no pain.

    Although it’s unfortunate the lady is injured, we all must do whatever is needed to cross the road when it’s safe. Then you have those distracted drivers. Their licenses should be taken away for 3 years, then 5 years then 10. They should be made to take a driver’s ed course every time and raise their insurance rates.
