The Cedar Grove woman who was shot multiples times during a drive-by shooting has died. She is 20-year-old Xavier Thomas.
Thomas was shot in her abdomen about 9 p.m during a shooting incident in which two other men also received bullet wounds.
The woman was the most critical of the three and died shortly before midnight after attempts to save her life.
Police are investigating.
According to reports, the shooters drove up to the block in a Toyota Allion opened fire then escaped.
The police are on the hunt for the assailants.
One of the men shot has been identified as 49-year-old Lawn “TI” Nicholas of Cedar Grove.
The other is Sean Matthew, 32, who was shot in the upper inner thigh, near the groin.
