A young woman was held at gunpoint and had her car stolen in St John’s early Sunday morning.
The black Honda Fit, owned by a Five Islands resident, was taken near Pita Pocket at around 1am.
According to her mother, the woman had stopped to drop off two people when a man approached with a gun and ordered her out of the vehicle. When she hesitated, a second man emerged from a nearby black jeep and threatened her, forcing her to comply.
She was not physically harmed but was left shaken. The suspects fled the scene. Police are investigating and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
