Two disputes, one of which reportedly is a family altercation, landed two people in the hospital with various injuries, as the Police continue investigations into both wounding incidents.

Reports are that a Bendals Road man was wounded with a piece of iron by his cousin of the same address.

The incident was reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after the victim telephoned officers to make the complaint.

Further reports are that officers later met the complainant and saw what appeared to be bleeding wounds to his left arm and his stomach, which he told them had been inflicted with a piece of iron by his cousin.

Reportedly, both men were involved in an argument at home when the alleged perpetrator pushed the victim, and a physical altercation ensued between them.

This offence reportedly occurred at about 10 a.m. on Monday, March 20.  A search was carried out for the alleged offender on the day in question, but without success.

Meanwhile, in another wounding incident, a 911 operator telephoned the Grays Farm Police Station and reported that a woman from the community had called, claiming she had been hit in the head with a bottle.

The woman was taken to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where officers met her in the Casualty Department, nursing a bleeding wound to her forehead.

The woman allegedly told the officers she had been involved in an altercation with another female, who used a glass bottle to hit her in the face, resulting in her being injured.

A search for the alleged offender was not successful.

This incident reportedly occurred at about 5:45 p.m. on Monday, March 20, at Perry Bay.- REAL NEWS
