Source- Real News Antigua: A woman is claiming to have been beaten by officers at
Ffryes Beach.

According to reports, a young woman unplugged the cord on a
sound system that was playing music at the popular beach and was
confronted by a man.

When the two began to fight, a
constable who was on the beach saw the commotion and tried to
intervene.

He later telephoned the Bolans Police Station and
reported that a fight was in progress.

Apparently, as a result of the fight, the Liberta man who was
involved sustained a small laceration under his left eye.

However, he could not say who had inflicted it.

Meanwhile, the Hatton woman told the investigating officer that she
had been beaten about the body by police officers.

Both parties reportedly were issued with police medical forms to
consult a doctor.

Meanwhile, a corporal has given instructions to two junior officers,
constables, to report to the Johnsons Point Police Station on the
woman’s allegations that she had been beaten.

This incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, March 24, at about
5:45 p.m.

  1. I’m very curious about this type of policing.

So tell me someting – ah beg you please – how come the police turn up for this particular incident, quick quick double quick, and yet with so many other serious crimes going on across the country, the police do not turn up with the same speed and efficiency?

Is this one of the Police Commissioner’s Attlee Rodney’s crime targets called ‘Operation Back-to-Front’?

    MUST BE!

    I’m speechless … Where’s my beer? 🍻

  2. Hatton & Libertans dwellers are a combustible mix, as many other Antiguan enclaves. Some rancid emotional expressions must have preceded into this verbally content effecting the involvement of on duty patrolling officers. The acid vicious acerbic tone of our verbal display, in fits of contention is lacking in modifying dampers to tone down the decibels, and especially in public space for individual usages, and public enjoyment.
