21-year-old Barrisha Gordon has been granted $5,000 bail for allegedly discarding a foetus in a garbage bin.

Sanitation workers found a foetus inside a brown paper bag among garbage in March 2020 in the vicinity of Hoppers Playing Field.

The Green Bay woman presented herself to a police station days later where she allegedly admitted to the crime and was charged with concealment of birth.

The conditions of her bail is that Gordon was ordered to pay $1,500 in cash, provide two sureties, surrender her travel documents and report to a police station three times a week.

She is expected to return to court on November 19.

A post-mortem was also reportedly conducted on the foetus which revealed that it had died due to stillbirth.

  1. I was hoping that the name would habe been ommited. This is sort of sensitive and we live in a small society. A 21 year old will be ridiculed for life for what could be well from a result of mental illness.

  2. Hopefully the young lady gets some help in the area where she really needs it. I wish her the best in life.

  3. I don’t the young lady’s story but I sympathize with her. We don’t know what she’s going through or what she went through for her to do what she did but I pray that she gets all the help she needs, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Lord, help her.
