Why Wasn’t There A Delegation To The Special Olympics This Year?

0

Dear Editor,

Imagine having to train at least three times a week for over a year, having your hopes high of traveling, expecting to participate in sporting activities, meeting new individuals and then, BOOM, no Special Olympics!

Who is responsible for answering the questions of the Special Needs students who had been training with the expectation of participating and then nothing happened?

Who answers the questions of why Special Needs children needed to go to Barbados to acquire their visas?

Why wasn’t an apology or explanation given to these students on why they were not taking the trip to Miami to participate in the Special Olympics?

Who is in charge of the Special Olympics Committee?

It is my belief that the public needs an explanation as to why these students missed out on such an opportunity, which some of them will NEVER again be afforded that chance, and why there was no planned event to at least praise these children for their committed over the past year?

WHY???
