Dear Sir,

I would like to thank you for the concern you displayed for the Barbudans before and after the passage of Hurricane Irma.

You gave the order for all of us to evacuate so that we would not be battered by a second storm that was on its way.

We were placed in shelters in Antigua and you asked Antiguans to assist us, which they did.  Your act of kindness did not go in vain.  We are eternally grateful to you.

Thank you for the wonderful speech you gave at the United Nations concerning global warming and the harmful effects it has on our Caribbean Islands.  It was very informative.  Indeed you are a great leader.

Thank you Sir for all that you have done once again.

Yours Sincerely,

Alexander DeSouza

  3. Was this “letter” coerced ….. why the parents of the child ddnt seek him out directly at his office…
Why was this letter read upon arrival
    This seems very orchestrated…..
I personally find a 9yr old really has this strong command of words….. 9yr old dnt to me write such” big words”
Maybe 9yr old now have speech writers…

    • Apparently the child is intellectually mature for his age. His teachers believe that he is “gifted” Perhaps this 9-year old is the future PM.

    • Well, well. The green-eyed monster has raised its head?
      No need to be jealous.
It was just too hard to resist giving the PM his “moment” wasn’t it. Or for that matter the little boy.

    • I hear You, I know there are some extremely intelligent 9 year old out there, and this child just might be one of them….but this letter stinks of a parent involvement. ‘Just saying’

  4. I keep reading this letter and to me I can see it was written or edited by an adult. I think our leader did what he thought was best for his image and career when reading this letter……Job well done GB 😉

  5. Stay strong PM,Gaston Brown and remember the word of God says “he that humbled himself shall be exalted. Amen, life is too short, let us love one another.

  6. What I believe happened was the letter gave him assurance that his work is not in vain and that little is much when God is in it. Pray for our leader! It takes a humble man to talk like he did in the United Nations, sometimes he talk stupidness but he has leadership pedigree and I believe he has the Nation to heart and that’s crucial so keep up the good work PM
