Who Next To Leave The UPP?

41
Sean Bird has formally announced his departure from the UPP.

There are growing rumors that the United Progressive Party (UPP) may be facing a wave of departures, with speculation mounting that Sean Bird could be the next to leave.

This follows a series of recent resignations from the embattled party.

Insiders suggest that Bird might be considering taking a break from politics.

Bird ran against Maria Bird-Browne, the prime minister’s wife, in the St John’s Rural East constituency.

DICTATORSHIP INTERNAL…..that’s why so many people are fleeing Gisele Isaac’s party!!!!

  1. It is time to drain the swamp.. Bird is a useless candidate anyway. He just talk on radio but doesnt do anything in his constituency. Look at his branch office for I.e…. its a vagrant paradise.

    • @Smh
You really under the same illusion as Chairman D. Gizelle Isaac.

The swamp run gone leff de two ah are you 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

not even the swamp want to be affiliated with she anymore 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Even Lovell run gone to Canada! smart guy! He dont want to be around when the last implosion occurs!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  2. BRIXTONIAN and ZACKIE my condolences. Please let me know when is the funeral for UPP. The demise of UPP because of some SELFISH Persons. SHAME. SHAME. SHAME.

  3. What you all expect ? He is a labour man. Labour run in his blood stream. lol.
Next, next , next until the two blue bottles stand alone.
Come on comrades it’s time to rally up and wap
them under them tails. Labour all the way.

  4. Dis UNGRATEFUL PUNK should a shame fu carry that lastname!!! UPP only used him for radio access. Now dem done use and abuse he and he come to he senses

  5. @Smh…wow Sean did better than any other previous UPP candidate except Cort who ran in that area….and you calling the man useless…no wonder so many members jumping ship…
    Who next?

  6. Sean Bird is power hungry and thinks that as a ‘Bird’ he’s entitled to be catapulted to the top. This was evident when he left the ALP under the leadership of Gaston Browne.
Even cockroach knew he was a Brer Anansi tarred in peacock feathers and paid him no attention.
Let’s see if he returns to his vomit and lap it up! Esta Una Perra!

  7. Leave or forced out???? He was never welcomed there in the first place!!!! He is a BIRD and everybody and them dog no UPP HATE the BIRD FAMILY with one passion!!! He only got one cuase there was literally no one who wanted to run and UPP was desperate for a candidate. Sean Bird is LAZY and has a HUGE SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT. He believes because he is a BIRD and his grandfather was the late great VC Bird he must automatically get to run. Even his late uncle Lester Bird never endorse him so what that till u. He can gwan go be one pastor now oop I forgot the church read he and his baby mama out
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭
    U seriously can’t make this 💩 up

  8. Lol same thing I been saying. But then again who is Sean Bird? What power does he hold in the party? He is a neither here or there. Not relevant to cause your head to turn. Smith for sure cause heads to do so.

  9. UPP took a wrong turn and that was the end of it. What is becoming of this party. They just keep on losing candidates. Why? We want answers PRINGLE WE NEED ANSWERS

  10. The UPP is cleaning ship before it sink with all the flip flippers of the ABLP. They are leaving and we still haven’t heard who will replace those vacant constituencies.

  11. Sean was NEVER a member of the UPP. He was always the dog left outside to watch the gate but never allowed inside. The big buffoon! He childishly thought that being sired by a “Bird” automatically meant entitlement, power and influence. What a colossal error in judgement. A diluted bloodline can be reduced to nothingness in a single generation. Sean cannot claim to have inherited any if his grandfather’s admirable qualities. His decision to join ranks with the hateful, spiteful, “elitist” incompetent odd-fellows sealed his face. Already deemed “the prodigal son” he is lucky that some within his former Party are willing to embrace him once he returns from living among pigs. If that is the case, I humbly recommend that, with his vast experience, he be given a job to look after the pigs on the PM’s farm. Failing that, he can join forces with the other irrelevant, no-name Vere Bird IÌI to keep the title alive. The only Bird that I recognize is the one who is now a Browne.

  12. George “STEEL FRAME” Walters must be rolling over in is grave! This is what his PLM birth defect baby has come to??? Now turned into a game called WHO NEXT????

  13. Miss Isaac, I heard you on your radio station on Monday saying me nah go nuh way, and it could be me alone and my friend Val, ah we alone go run the party.
You even threaten to run out all the bad eggs. How selfish can you get? You meet the people with their party and you are trying so hard to mash um up.

Like you don’t understand politics. It is about including people, not clearing them out. You need to get information about Joe Biden and the sacrifice he made when he left.
For the good of the party Dame you should resign right now, you and your puppet on a string Pringle, and your poodle vice chairman.
Even if you feel you did nothing wrong you should go because people have no confidence in you as a leader.
You are mashing up the party, Dame. Do you want that on your record?

    • whether she met them with their party or not, doesn’t matter. UPP BELONGS TO GISELE ISACC!!!! She work hard for it.

Notice its all MEN leaving the upp. They cant stand to see a woman higher than them. It is a blow to their fragile egos.

I tip my hat to Madame Chairman for standing her ground. especially since it’s still a man’s world!

  14. If the current Chairman does not step down, there will be no more UPP…. something just not right where the UPP is concern….

  15. Dear Editor,

Do you have any pallbearer to carry the UPP coffin? By the time they ready to go cemetery it seems like nobody would leave to lift the coffin.

  16. Dem want give Shawn Nicholas position to Pearl Quinn!!
Dem want give Shawn Nicholas position to Pearl Quinn!!

Dem want give Shawn Nicholas position to Pearl Quinn!!

  17. Are you noticed Sean Bird stop cuss Maria Bird Brown…he said this morning his family comes first 🤔🤔🤔🤔

  18. Lol hahahahaha. I am resigning from the Royal Family. lol It really means nothing to anyone. But wasn’t he one of the persons that the alluded to that was resigning earlier.

  19. Sean’s departure is no great loss to the UPP. Sean didn’t bring anything to the party. He had no inside information as he was never a member of the Gaston Browne’s administration. Sean is on the last leg of his usefulness to the party and the UPP hierarchy is eagerly anticipating and will welcome his departure with a party.
They never wanted him and now that he is a complete and utter loser they definitely don’t want him on their ticket next election.
Giselle wants winners and not losers just like Gaston Browne and Sean Bird and his radio station are habitual losers.

  20. i bet MS. JOANNE MASSIAH is somewhere a kack up she foot with she papcarn in hand. ..cheese and butter and a big glass a soda! The UPP should have NEVER BADPLAYED JOANNE MASSIAH!!! all this mess and political carnage could a been avoided

  21. THE PM just recently said on the Browne and Browne show that Sean Bird has some capacity and that said some thing to me that the political licks he was receiving was just politics and our PM always said anyone that comes into politics must take their licks it’s not for cowards so Sean seems to be getting out of the upp house before it burn down he still has his red shirt and he has suffered enough it’s time to get a good job with the ABLP and enjoy some of the benefits that his ancestors worked for the ABLP. IS NOT GOING TO BE OUT OF POWER UNLESS THEY GIVE IT UP so Sean welcome home ! He wants to have nice things too ! Every Tommy. Dicky and Mshy a come over why he should not when he navel string bury a ABLP.

  22. “According to the testimony of the FBI agent, “during the same period”, Ashe sent the then Prime Minister (Spencer) approximately US$170,000”

Not even all those KICKBACKS, BRIBE MONIES could sustain the UPP! Who will fund their campaign? But more importantly WHO, WHO on God’s green earth will want to run on upp ticket???

  23. @Smh “vagrant paradise?” That’s funny. But you see when someone grow up privileged and to go and intermingle with the people the way he grandfather did it is not in him. Not everybody cut out for politics because it’s more than being seen in Parliament. He scornful and he has an elevated status in his mind about himself. He doesn’t have the same empathy or he cannot even fake it for long.

If he had won then he wouldn’t have to be directly involved or on the front line shaking hands and visiting homes that is not consist of people on his level. He would have his people on his team do the direct reaching out. Look at politicians on both sides, the successful ones tend to be very hands-on and really in the trenches with the common man and woman, not sometimes.

He would much rather a place like Hodges Bay but the constituency he ran in seemed to him to be easy because of the love affair and success of his uncle Lester. He was hoping to ride the coattail of his last name “Bird”. Not saying his cousin not doing the same, but he would have won had it being on the ABLP side. Sean just go sidung!

  24. The UPP are always quick to call out Gaston on his Dictatorship behaviors and if that’s how they see it, then call him out.

But at this rate, they might be thrusting him into a ONE PARTY STATE. Is this a conspiracy to turn Antigua and Barbuda 🇦🇬 into a dictatorship? Or a conspiracy to form a Unitary Republic? I’m just looking at the least plausible explanation for all of this?

    October 9, 2022

    Hello Sean,

I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus Chrrist.
As you already know, I’m rather outspoken on many issues.

I also know when and where to make certain statements or prognostications.

It has been however on my heart to reach out to you as a voice has been placing it on my heart to speak to you.

You might not respond favorably but that’s not for me to decide.
My grandfather, Comrade George Rae has been a 39er with your grandfather as the leader.

He was the chaplain of the Central Executive until he migrated to New York in his early 70s.
He was being visited by your grandfather when he would travel, your uncle Lester and mainly by Vere Bird Jr.

I have been president of the Rural East for a while and a member of Central Youth for Labour.
My point is that I have Labour in my bloodstream.

I cannot fathom the challenges your grandfather went through to build this organization.

He was stoned in Gray’s Farm where my grandfather had to go in to speak with the constituents to calm them down. V C Bird had to stay away from Rural West.

He then was given Rural North by Denfield Hurst to run where he was victorious by ’76.

Sean, it’s weighing heavy on my heart that you would cross the line to join the party which hated your grandfather’s efforts. They wanted his name to be placed in the dustbin of history.

They closed down your father’s station and was ordered by the court to reconnect the electricity.
They have accused your family of many things which they have not proven.

Now I’m not saying that the Labour Party is an institution of virtue. They have many faults and principles that are less than desirable.

Running away though doesn’t help in making the change.
You have to be on the inside to affect the change you wish to see.

Your running to the other side by be genuine in your intentions but it being perceived as a desire for power.

They are using you only to get back back at Labour Party as a pawn, martyr, scapegoat, like an “in-your-face” statement.
Also, to use your station as a means to get their message out.

If you lose the Rural East seat to Maria Bird-Browne, you will become the laughing stock, not only of the UPP but of the country as a whole.

My unsolicited advice to you to mend fences with the Labour Party, specifically the PM.

It may seem to you that you’re lowering your standards but trust me, politics is bigger than you and I.

People in the opposition are making fun of you behind your back.

You don’t have to listen to me. In not that important in the scheme of things. But what I’ll say to you is that the Labour Party will welcome you back with open arms. In any group, you will never like or agree with everything but running away is not the answer.

Those very same opposition members and supporters will ring you out to dry because that’s who they are when their people change sides.
Think of the bigger picture though.

    Karma is a weird phenomenon.
Stop it before it stops you. Don’t let karma ruin what your family has built; both in politics and in business.

I come to you with no malice or ill intentions in my heart.

I was led by a voice to admonish you on this matter.

    Blessings,

    Dave Ray 🙏🏽🌻🇦🇬

    Sean’s response to me

Well Dave I must say this is definitely a heartfelt correspondence. I appreciate the fact that you have taken the time to explain your reasoning and your feelings on the issue.
By taking the time to explain yourself I can truly empathize with your analysis but unfortunately I cannot see eye to eye with this. If one is being honest your grandfather’s alp is being dismantled with little open resistance from the rank and file while silently they are stewing. Many have reached out to me so it is not hearsay.
What is in place now does not resemble the red flag or the sacrifices made by those that have gone before.
I think you know me well enough from way back so I believe you may have an idea about my character…I hold no malice against anyone and I am pretty sure I will have to end up helping many who are choosing to attack me without facts or understanding but then again that is the nature of the beast.
    Thanks for reaching out Dave.

  27. Many thanks for highlighting both these correspondences between you and Sean Bird. I take it that it couldn’t have been easy for him to jump from the Bird/Browne ABLP ship.

One thing intrigues me though Dave, with all his family connections to the ABLP he still went ahead and committed himself to joining the UPP!

Did he witness that something – at the time – was amiss with the ABLP and wanted nothing to do with them.

Pure speculation from my part, I’ll admit.

Although these correspondences were a couple of years ago, I suppose people can change their allegiances – I surely did!

I can see that over the next 3-4 years there’s going to be a lot of changes in the UPP, however Dave, do not think for one minute that drastic change couldn’t also happen within the ABLP, because many feel that Prime Minister Gaston is keeping a lid on his pressure cooker party.

Again, enjoy your day my adversarial friend 👍🏾
