Who is the best choice for All Saints West ABLP Primary 2024?
The ABLP All Saints West Primary Showdown: A Tale of Allegiance, Ambition, and Activism
In the heart of the upcoming ABLP primary for All Saints West, residents find themselves caught in a web of uncertainty as three candidates vie for their support. Each contender brings a unique set of attributes, leaving constituents to ponder who truly deserves the candidacy.
Regis Burton, a familiar face in ABLP circles, raises eyebrows as questions swirl about his allegiance. Formerly eyeing St. Peters, Burton’s sudden shift to All Saints West sparks speculation – is he a political opportunist seeking a foothold in a new arena? Skeptics wonder if his uncertain constituency alignment makes him the right fit for representation.
On the other side of the political spectrum, Lamen Newton, a former UPP candidate turned Labour advocate, enters the fray with both open arms and raised eyebrows. While the Labour Party welcomes him, residents question whether Newton, though powerful in advocacy, is ready for a candidacy spot. Does his past allegiance raise concerns about his alignment with All Saints West?
In the midst of this political drama, a humble yet passionate candidate emerges – Mr. Arry Simon, a young environmental activist. Despite not basking in the same popularity as his competitors, Simon’s recent projects and initiatives within the constituency have captivated the hearts of many. His commitment to clean-up campaigns and donations to local schools paint him as a dedicated advocate for the people. As a true member of the Labour Party, Arry Simon stands out as a beacon of change and authenticity.
As the All Saints West Primary 2024 unfolds, residents are left to grapple with a choice between uncertain political shifts, powerful advocacy with questionable readiness, and the grassroots commitment of a young environmental champion. The drama unfolds, and constituents eagerly await the climax of this political spectacle to determine who will emerge as the best choice for their constituency.

Doesn’t matter who ABLP promote in the Primaries, the whole ah All Saints is UPP – you only have to go back to the facts and figures at the last General Election to see why they didn’t want Gaston Browne as Prime Minister. Tarl!

Gaston and his dear Maria need to take a drive around Antigua in their fancy vehicles and be honest with themselves about their claims of doing so well in this 2×4 country: All Saints Road Road in to Nelson’s Dockyard, Jonas Road, Fig Tree Drive are desperately in need of repairs, The roads for the housing projects need fixing, the blocked up water ways need cleaning out, the overgrown bushes needs to be cut, the old vehicles parked up on roads need to be removed, we need better sidewalks, we need water to bathe, crime is on a rise put pressure on Cutie and Athlee…the list goes on.

If I was a resident of All Saints West and part of that primary I would pay attention to the lessons learnt from the last party primary that was held where the candidate was selected rather than elected thereby iapparently ignoring the very rules of the party. Yes the honourable MP won that by-election and the ABPLP learnt a valuable lesson. They may not repeat the same thing since that will be insanity and that will mean the constituency will win also. Since our current MP has had the privilege of representing us noone has seen him around these parts. Such a pity!!!
SHUT THE HELL UP YOU LIAR SHARON.
DO YOU EVEN LIVE IN ALL SAINTS WEST OR ARE YOU A JOHNNNY COME LATELY?
YOU ABLP SUPPORTERS ARE SO DECEITFUL AND LIE AND ‘OMNIPRESENT’. HOW YOU ARE CERTAIN ‘NOONE HAS SEEN HIM AROUND THESE PARTS’? AS I SAID YOU MUST BE EVERYWHERE AT ONCE. THE EXTREMES YOU SUPPORTERS GO TO.
I am a resident of that area and I voted for Anthony Stuart. You know why none of these ppl serious.
None.
Look at the roads in Clark’s hill and Bellevue and Bellevue heights.
C’mon.
From healthcare to public works to public safety those three areas have been treated poorly. Maybe the assumption is that the persons living there are far from poor.
No one remembers us in Christmas Easter or Valentine….So on a Saturday morning like today I could easily say hey neighbor let’s help clean up the field infront of us, but I won’t
You know why, I pay plenty in MBS, I don’t claim nothing. I go private and private insurance never want to reimburse me. If NSWMA comes under health, why is my garbage not collected.
Now with the increase in abst, my road to my house damages my front end and tire.To bring in my car parts, I pay an arm a leg a tummy and one buttock at the overnight or overmonth import company.
I AM tired being a good citizen, only to be shafted by all the misspending and overcharging. Noone is looking into my/our interest and when we try, we get BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE & BOLDFACED LIES!!!
Sharon, you are wrong on one account. His chosen few see him in person. The rest of us just see him on Facebook getting fat and wearing 3 – piece suit that English man tap wear in 1811.
Lamen Newton, you ran in that Constituency before for the UPP.The people of that Constituency were always saying. They did not see you.It is because you were lazy.Wanted to be Elected and not work for it. LAZY MAN,THE PEOPLE WOULD NOT VOTE FOR YOU TO REPRESENT THEM,EVER.
I think that Gaston should go for Lammin because they are of like minds. He has gone to the bottom of the barrel to grabble and came up with a DRUG PUSHER; not my words.
Sorry lamin newton….
Poor journalism, the author of this article is obviously a personal supportor of Simon. If you are presenting 3 candidates you are either giving the cons or the pros of each of the candidates. Why would you give the cons for Lammin and Burton and then only the pros for Simon, it should have been an informative article and not a campaign pitch for one candidate. By the way, changing constituency is not a negative, you are stilll serving the people, to put that as a con against the candidate and not highlight all the service work Burton has done and is doing or mention the strengths of Lammin is very one sided. Shameful journalism!
Regis lives all over , eh? He kinda cute tho
Lookie here, lmk when the clinic garn fix and me and yunno can talk
This bus tory to willikies is not it.
Bus run according to how ppl feel. No bathroom pan the bus so imagine fu mi pickney a vomit and no vomit-bag deh deh like when we fly liat
And the bus for mbs medication nuh hab no cover for when rain fall.
Which one is honest, fair and moral? Which one is better equip to represent and advocate for people?
Which one has some form of advance education/degree that could mostlikely advance the country and his constituency?
Why did the article able not mention not one thing of substance for either candidate? Isn’t that how representation are picked?
I am not saying these men do not have substance, I am saying why focus wasn’t placed on any substance they may have? Nothing that expresses leadership of any of these men was mentioned in this article.
It is so sad the social and behavioral situation in Antigua. Truly sad. No one else can see it.
The young ppl dem from farm that was red, voted for Anthony last election now they’re behind Mr. Simon because they can throw him around like a towel…with Michael they couldn’t, some a dem nearly end up ah HMP…if the voters can jump ship y tf candidates cannot jump ship…everybody has a right to go where they please…ent driftwood and Namba jumped ship…so what if lamin jumped rass ship too? All saints west will always be a bundle of confusion because they love fight down ppl…Mr Simon and his whole rass family was and maybe still is blue so how nobody talking bout his gay ass?
