REAL NEWS- Yet another African has been intercepted in another island in his bid to get to the United States of America (USA), a legal source tells REAL News.

The source alleges that, on Sunday, March 5, a national of Ghana boarded a flight to Trinidad, which was en route to the USA.

On arrival in Trinidad, his passport was checked and it was discovered that he did not have a visa to enter an American port.

Reportedly, the source says, he has been detained in Trinidad and is expected to be returned to Antigua on March 9.

Meanwhile, other sources have confirmed to our Newsroom that six Cameroonians had been detained here after they were caught trying to leave Antigua and Barbuda on fake Ghanaian passports.

However, these sources claim that, after being held for one week at the Immigration Department’s Detention Centre, orders were given – reportedly by a Government minister – to release them, pending further investigation.

The sources tell our Newsroom that they – as law-enforcement officers charged with border security – are “alarmed at what is going in Immigration,” especially because the stranded West Africans are being allowed to find employment here.

“If they are traveling on fake documents, it means we don’t even know who these persons really are.  We don’t know anything about their character.  We don’t know if they had a criminal record back home.  And they are getting jobs here!” one concerned officer says.

“Even people who are born here – right here in Antigua – have to show proof of who they are to get a driver’s license; they need a clean police record to get a job.  How come we’re taking such chances here with strangers?” another one asks, shaking her head.

They tell REAL News the rationale being offered – about “kinship” to the West Africans – is “pure excuse.  So Trinidad and Barbados and Grenada and Suriname don’t know about ‘African brothers and sisters,’ too?  Is only us here in Antigua looking family?” they ask.

  1. Trinidad, Barbados, Grenada and Suriname’s Governments did NOT COLLUDE with African scammers to have poor West Africans come into their countries as rich investors, morphed into tourist, now turn refugees. These countries have every right to return the Africans to the island (ANU) that helped facilitated their departure from Africa.

    • Antigua is not their home. Send them back to Africa. If they did fly from Nigeria and Nigeria doesn’t want them then why should Antigua. I think there are direct flights from Panama to Africa. Put them on these flights. Sure there is a flight from Trinidad to Panama.

  2. Gaston must feel like a real wrass. These West Africans pulling all kinds of fraud to try and get to the USA. The rest of the Caribbean, South America and the USA are all looking at us and shaking their heads that we actually fell for this Antigua Airways con game. The Antigua Airways owners must be laughing their heads off that they conned an entire government into buying into their con. This is NEXT LEVEL government? Gaston, stop being so gullible.

  3. And yet they are the BRIGHTEST PEOPLE IN ANTIGUA…….they claim Pringle is dunce, but Pringle would not have been SO STUPID to let these ‘tiefing’ Africans deceive them.

WHO IS DUNCER? PRINGLE OR GASTON AND THE ABLP?

THERE IS NO OTHER RACE IN THE WORLD MORE DISHONEST THAN AFRICANS…..I AM SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE….THEY ARE THE MOST CORRUPT PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY NIGERIANS AND GHANAIAN.
Why oh why are we harbouring them here when there are many peaceful African countries they could be returned to?
One thing I know, the ABLP does not do anything unless money is involved or that it furthers their political agenda- possible that they have plans to incorporate these africans eventually on the voters list in constituencies that are UPP strong holds.

    • There scammer every where; even Gaston is corrupt; Africans are good, and you’re no better than them…

  4. And the beat goes on. This is indubitable proof that these Africans, contrary to what we are being told, have no intentions of remaining in Antigua. The question must be asked over and over again: How did this all happen? Who are the players in this scam? How involved is the Antiguan government.
There are documents in circulation with Gaston Browne, Cutie Benjamín and a few others who were there at the initial gathering of this scam. People, the sooner we unravel this whole debacle, the better for us. Do we not think that the US government is aware of what transpired in Trinidad? That Antigua is facilitating trafficking of Africans, illegally?
Come on Rodney Williams! While you sit there and do nothing, Antigua continues to sit on a ticking time bomb. The explosion of this bomb will be devastating for ALL Antiguans.

  5. 😅😅😅 did they have Antigua, Barbuda & Redonda 🇦🇬🇦🇬🇦🇬Passports?

I just had a conversation with a gentleman from the Ivory Coast. We all know Africans and their #Hustle_N_Flo, once, they cross the Atlantic into the West.

What is happening with the Antigua, Barbuda & REDONDA Passport(if they were used, by these Africans MUST cause heads to roll.

  6. THANK YOU GASTON JUS THANK YOULOOK HOW YOU ONCE AGAIN MEK ANTIGUA LOOK LIKE WAN TARRA RARSE AGAINNNNNN!!!!!

GASTON ARE YOU PROUD OF THIS DEBACLE YOU MADE YOURTHE WORST PM ANTIGUA HAVE EVER SEEN THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

SOONAMERICANIMMIGRATIONSHOULD DECEND ONATIGUA AND CHARGE YOU FOR HUMANTRAFFICKING

GASTON GIVE YOURSELF AN HEAVY ROUND OF APPLAUSE

YOU REALLY THOUGHT YOU GOT OVER ON ANTIGUANS BOUT GHANA & NIGERIAN INVESTORS…. i ca t wait to visit HALCYON SHIEK RESORT …… YOU TRIED YOU REALLY TRIED IT.

  7. you antiguans who where ship from Africa some years ago for slavery now think your better than them .

    • @ Shelly

you obviously is a minion and your spelling is worse than the opposition leader who you all chastise – the point is not the Africans, but your dishonest ABLP representatives which facilitated this whole charade for selfish gain!

      GO FIGURE!

    • @Shelly, Antigua has its own problems without allowing other nations citizens to continue to ride on our backs. Years of enslavement is a good learning cursor to direct us to say no when a situation that arise that would ultimately threatens our livelihood and destroy our economy.

In less than four months many of the Africans have engaged with fraudulent activities amongst themselves, as well fraudulent usages of passports to enter Antigua, now it’s purported that they have done the same in Trinidad and attempted to board a flight from Trinidad heading to the US. Trinidad is planning to deport them to Antigua. Hopefully, Antigua would refuse their landing because they are not nationals of Antigua and moreover, where is the evidence that their first port of call was Antigua?
Why should Antigua be left burden with fraudsters from other nations?

Unfortunately, Antigua Immigration Services is badly broken to the point of not fit any purpose. I doubt very much that the immigration service could genuinely locate 20 of them never mind 1000.
Our broken immigration services continually allows visitors to remained in Antigua unchecked and then rewards them with amnesty! That could never happen in the US, UK, Canada, St Maarten, or anywhere the immigration services are effective.

I am aghast by your rebuked, because Antigua is the most tolerant society for foreigners in the region, infact we have become the melting pot for all nationalities.

If this administration does not do the right thing it will leave our doors open for further abused.

      • Since Biden took over 5 million plus illegal migrants have crossed the southern borders. Talk about a broken system. Illegal drugs, children and woman trafficking and all the other illegal things. Don’t even talk about Europe, woman are being beaten and raped by African men. Don’t talk about Ireland the whole world Is being trodden down by illegal activities to fulfill their demonic agenda

    • Shelly, Crawl back into your crusty shell. You clearly should not be making comments. Do you not see the issue has to do with criminal activity? And not persons ancestral ties?

    • You just take one sit. Nobody thinks they’re better than anyone. It’s just the circumstances surrounding the entire situation, so just sit and hush

    • You are missing the critical point. Regardless of what nationality they are. Having over 600 people coming into antigua must displaced both citizens and residents. economically, socially, politically and but a strain on our limited health care services and other resources. To love yourself don’t mean you hate others and that’s why immigration policies and national security laws exist. Let us think and analyze

    • Fuckry no living person known as an Antiguan could have ever been ship from Africa for slavery. Probably the ancestors were

  8. Note well; Africans sent back to Antigua, not back to Africa! This story is so shameful and embarrassing and all this incompetent government can talk about is “our African brother’s & sisters” – not thinking what impact it can have on Antigua name! This is a recipe for disaster!! No proper vetting we just let these people come here….

  9. ALP headed by Dundee United has no shame! I have repeatedly stated that the actions of ALP administration and the West Africans is a time bomb waiting to explode and it’s slowly being demonstrated.

Dundee United involvement with this West African fiasco is indeed lamentable, the region and the US safety and security will if it hasn’t already been compromise.

The British has already given Dundee a warning that unless they get to grips with the broken immigration services in Antigua they will introduce visa for people coming from Antigua.

The inquiry that has been called for by UPP hasn’t got on the way and we are seeing the urgent need for the inquiry and hopefully an action plan to follow.

ALP should be in doubt that the Nigerian government government will be in no hurry to accept or be agreeable for charter planes to land them.

I am sure that Dundee United and his legal team are very aware of the legal ramifications that their reckless venture will mean for Antigua on an international level, because they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

The only option available to them is to continue with their efforts of using emotive languages to sway our nation to embrace our so-called brothers and sisters.

However, I take the view that ALP involvement was immoral and unsustainable, which could ultimately impact on our tourists industry.

Antiguans renting them accommodation should put principles above profits and stop renting accommodation to them and let ALP find refugees accommodation for them, maybe they could pitch tents on the grounds of the Governor General’s officials grounds, as he was seemingly concerned for their plight.

What a terrible mess Dundee United got us into. This scandal has the potential to be worse than Standford’s scandal.

What has emerged from Trinidad, is that there’s no clear understanding of what part of West Africa they are from, so the question that Nigeria would ask for is evidence of their citizenship…the wahala (Yoruba, for: this your trouble is endless).

  10. One again, the problem here isn’t the Africans, the problem here is clearly the government, as none of this could have been possible without the blessings of the government. Stop cursing out these Africans. They did no wrong but to pay their monies and board a “legal” flight. This is the work of the government. Won’t waste my time commenting here any further.

    • @Sssshhhhhh. So you condone criminal activities? In light of all the foolishness that has been exposed, how do you even know these people are who they say they are? And if they were so innocent, why the illegal activities that they are getting themselves involve with? For safe boarders and a secure society, these kind of things cannot happen, period. And one more thing, try traveling on a fake passport and bogus documents and see what happens to you, it will not be this easy for you to wiggle out of the crap they will through at you.. this is a coverup, plain and simple, and the government of Antigua are hoping that it’s people keep quiet about it.. big problems you’ll have here, especially when it comes to the terrorist at of 9/11. Do your research and look into things, and stop been blinded.

  11. Good for us when Guyanese and Jamaicans come to our Shores they have been treated as nobody when they’re being deported they go back to their country of birth how is it these people cannot be deported to go back to their country coming from Trinidad why should they come to Antigua are they antigens? It have been always hearing Antiguans parading and saying antigua is for antigens I would like to hear those persons open their mouth and say the same thing now antigens are for syrians Chinese and cameroons so take that in your Nenen.
I went in St John’s city today and saw a barrage of cameroons dressed in a particular security uniform how is it that they get job so quick when they’re not being processed but when Guyanese and Jamaicans come here they have to go back home spend 6 months in the country then when they return to Antigua they been denied work permit what is going on I need Mr Pringle to get up stand up and fight for Antigua. It appears as if the opposition is now siding with the no leader party that causing all this dramatic activity to be happening in Antigua where is the Upp to stand up and defend our rights?

    • @Jj…The Cameroonians and others who came to Antigua on those charters are behaving like, they were the promised something.
Personally, I’ve always thought from the inception, of the Antigua Airways to now, the #Spirits, of Mercenaries, Guerrillas, military crews were a part, of the entourage of the #Fake_Tourists!
This have the smell test, of a Private Army being installed, under the guise of Security Services. Hence, and possibly, why CRIMES are allowed to be here, there and everywhere in Antigua.

Yes, Antiguans always have “Trang” fu each oddah, but get wet, to rass by others! Yes, Serian to Expats to other Caribbean Nationals and now Africans. De #House_Niggah bloodline, till Trang innah de Antigua fukaree too!

      Ras Smood aka Jumbee_Picknee
De ‘ole Dutty Peg Foot Bastard

    • @ Jj

just shut up and whistle…..u want to create chaos? how much more u want the UPP to do?

have u signed the petition? have you picketed the gg office for an enquiry?

  12. @JJ, UPP did not create the mess nor is UPP in power. UPP has already staged its objection by staging a campaign outside of Parliament, it has launched a petition to secure enough votes to serve on the Governor General, who incidentally, is in favour of the fraudsters presence in Antigua. Hopefully, you have signed the petition!

You have seen it for yourself, the powers that be do as they like, they ignore all protocols. The Cameroonians did not have visas to enter Antigua, but they were landed in the presence of the chief immigration officer…what does tell you?
The crooked Nigerian that is employed by the Ministry of Argiculture stated on Observer Radio that our population us low and the fraudsters were brought to Antigua to improve our population, he further added that he and the Prime Minster are tight. What do you inferred from this?

The Cameroonians have not knowingly regularised their immigration status, but they are working as security guards! Surely, your issue of concern should be directed at ALP, because they are the ones for whatever reason brought them to our shores.

I can further add, Antiguans, should forget about deporting them to West Africa, or putting them on charter flights to Lagos or Abuja.

The Nigerian government will not agree to either of the two, more specifically, there is no certainty of where in West Africa they are truly from.

ALP will take every steps available to them, crooked or otherwise, more likely the formative to justify the debacle that they have knowingly brought to our shores.

Unfortunately, as per usual, Dundee United played with the wrong nation and was made a laughing stuck revealing his inability to govern.

The only good thing for ALP, they can count these fraudsters vote in 4 years time.

I can only hope that UPP supporters will refuse to rent them accommodation. I hate to be pessimistic, but legally they are in Antigua to stay!!

Why don’t you start a vigil outside the PM office objecting to the West Africans presence in Antigua? If you and others decide to take that approach invest in some heavy duty gas masks, as you know ALP would have no hesitation with gassing us!!

  13. Looks to me like the PM is forming his own private army. If he’d lost the election, he would have pulled a Trump, Jan 6th. Knowing he’s likely to lose next election he’s keeping his African army right here.

  14. Looks to me like the PM is forming his own private army. If he’d lost the election, he would have pulled a Trump, Jan 6th. Knowing he’s likely to lose next election he’s keeping his African army right here.

  15. More to come. And these goons think they can mama guy us? Is there anything in the budget to accommodate these people?

  16. Leave the Nigerian Agriculture Extension Officer out of this. He only partnered with a crook to register the New Antigua Chamber Of Commerce Nigeria Chapter. The poor Nigerian Agriculture Extention officer got duped too 😂. Bango if you are going to keep your Antiguan Nationality you will have to Spill the Beans. Crime against Antigua & Barbuda is called treason and that is serious. Hence if anyone commit treason they can loose their citizenship. You could then be deported back to Nigeria. When hell broke loose with this fiasco you took off to Nigeria. You were not here for elections. How did you get to Nigeria. It was not on the first flight. So you knew a lot about the the second and third flight I presume. Did you go to Nigeria on one of those straight flights ( that will be interesting).
You were just assisting your African Brothers and Sisters. So why aren’t the Jamaicans all over the airport helping their Jamaican brothers, same Guyanesse etc.
So I am going to start my inquiry 🧐 with you right here .
    I) please state your date of birth, your place of birth and correct name.
    2) who should we call if you faint during this inquiry. Please state name and relationship.
    3) are you presently Employed and with whom?
    4) Are you involved in any type of business activities outside of your work.
    5) what is your salary.
    6) who involved you to get involved with the first Antigua Airways to Antigua.
    7) How aquatint are you with them
To be continued…..Spill the beans inquiry 🧐

  17. @Frankly Speaking, you obviously do not know Yoruba very well. Transparency is not a language they are au fait with. If any of them say good morning to you, go out in the road and check the day.

I listened to an interview with him and whilst he was being interviewed he was exceptionally rude to the interviewer, he avoid answering questions and when he felt corned he hung up the phone.
There’s more to this man than what meets the eyes.

You have aptly touched on the points of how he can justify using a government vehicle to meet a friend who entered Antigua illegally, why was he given preferntal treatment to enter the arrival suite? Jamacians and other nationals living in Antgua is not given that courtesy so why him? Hopefully, the inquiry will shine the light on him too.

I strongly doubt he entered Antigua. Legally, I doubt his qualifications he presented to the Ministry of Argiculture are genuine.

I would be happy to pay the telephone bills to call the institutions that he claimed he attended, starting from his primary school, to higher education. I would also want to check and cross reference with the place where is birth was registered in Yoruba land.

I don’t belive he is genuine, plus he claims that he and our crooked PM are tight!

    • There are a few disturbing questions here to consider.
      1. Since this individual’s final destination was the US, did immigration or the relevant authorities in Antigua check the documents to ensure entry into the US?
      2. What passport did the African use?
      3. If they used an African passport(We have to assume that there is no way they could be in possession of an Antiguan passport), then why is Trinidad sending them back to Antigua and not Africa?
Folks, the region and entire world is on the lookout for Africans coming out of Antigua to protect their borders.
Instead of Africa, just send them back to Antigua and let them deal with their own mess.
Really doesn’t matter what lies Gaston Browne and Melford Nicholas spill, the truth will unfold piece by piece.
