  1. These people are a bunch of trouble makers. It was blatant in the videos they posted. Stop the nonsense cause you making it harder for people to want to give you their vote

  2. Recently, a family member and I went to a beach with a hotel attached to it. As soon as we set foot on the property, the security guard came towards us in an intimidating manner as if trying to get us to leave. We ignored long enough to observe the beach and then we left..not because of the guard but because the water looked nasty. All I got to say is … A Antigua me born and I will be damned if I can’t go to any beach I damn well please. Now destroying property is another matter entirely, but the word trespassing should never be used in regard to an Antiguan citizen and a beach.

  3. The beach should be free. No matter who owns property alongside it. You. Cannot own the blasted beach

  4. As an Antiguan citizen, I’m worried about this back-and-forth. Our tourism industry is crucial, and any actions that make us look unstable are bad for everyone. Both sides need to sit down and find a solution that protects beach access and respects investment. Legal action against citizens for beach access is a slippery slope.

    Respect has to come from all sides.
    The local beach goers and users MUST respect the environment and not thrash the beaches – not saying all do. The property owners whose property is adjacent, to the beach has to realize and know that the beach is SHARED SPACE, and respect it, as such.

    The precedent was set by the GOVERNMENT decades ago when they allowed MILL REEF CLUB, and their private property owners to do what they did. The Government even gave them MILL REEF CLUB their own private police station.

    POMPEY, who pays the salaries of the officers stationed at what is now called, simply The Reef?

    Vere Bird Snr himself had to walk over rock on the North East end of Halfmoon Bay, to remove the barbed wired fence behind the then Melons Property.

    The BEACH ACCESS LAWS MUST be amended, to support the present state of our growing Nation. The high water mark is nonsense.
    It’s a political football and BABBLING POINT for poliTRICKtans, and a negotiating strong point for the greedy investors.
