Waste collection delay affects Lightfoot residents, authority says

Residents in the Lightfoot community are being advised of a delay in waste collection services, according to the National Solid Waste Management Authority.

In a press release dated 6 May 2026, the Authority said the disruption is part of ongoing efforts to improve service reliability. It noted that teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

The Authority said waste collection in the affected area is expected to be completed by Thursday, 7 May.

It also urged residents to report any missed or delayed residential waste collection by contacting its hotline.

Officials thanked residents for their patience while the matter is addressed.
