SOURCE: THE MANUAL- Visiting Antigua and Barbuda this summer? Good news – you can skip the long customs lines and get to the beach a whole lot faster.

The twin-island nation has just launched a new digital entry platform called ArriveAntigua, designed to streamline the arrival process for international travelers.

Rolled out in April 2025 by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Department of Immigration and the Customs and Excise Division, the system aims to make airport arrivals quicker and easier.

Instead of filling out paperwork upon landing and waiting in line while agents manually check passports and travel dates, visitors can now submit their information online ahead of time.

When they arrive, all they have to do is scan a QR code and breeze right through.

Using ArriveAntigua is simple, but there are a few key steps to follow. First, travelers should visit ArriveAntigua.com on a mobile device or tablet within 72 hours of their departure (Heads up: the system isn’t compatible with laptops or desktop computers).

If you’re a U.S. citizen, select “Visitor” as your traveler type, then scan your passport, along with the passports of any family members traveling with you.

Once your passport is verified, you’ll take a quick selfie to confirm your identity. From there, the form will ask for your flight information, home address, reason for visiting, and where you’ll be staying in Antigua and Barbuda.

Finally, you’ll answer standard customs declaration questions before submitting your form.

Once complete, you’ll receive a QR code by email. That QR code is your golden ticket. It’s what you’ll scan at customs when you arrive in Antigua and again when you leave.

For now, the system is only available to travelers arriving via commercial airlines, but it marks a major step toward a smoother and more modern arrival experience.

  1. This article is misleading.
Submitting a digital immigration form or a hard copy requires the same amount of scrutiny by border control officials.

Their is no skipping lines and reduced time at customs and immigration.

In fact the system they are using is out dated. It is super expensive and antiguans need to examine the CORRUPTION of introducing this archaic system. What does Jeff Hadeed know about Cross border security?

It’s people like who cause division and slow growth in our country. Do you have a better system to offer?
Have you invested anything to make it more seamless for international travelers other than negative lip service?
The pessimism in our country is ever so unflattering.
Despite the naysayers, our government is moving in the right direction to modernize our tourism product and improve our country’s image.
Many repeat visitors are still excited about our country.
I continue to wish Antigua and Barbuda will.

It’s people like Melchisidec that are born anarchists! He and his kind are mere hollow, miserable excuses for normal human beings . No progress places them in a comfort zone. No thinking necessary! Sickening lot they are.

You already know that I’m not scared of anyone of them. They can blabber all they want. They’re an angry, disgruntled bunch who will remain that way for years to come. Our country is making progress, perhaps not as swiftly as we would like, but it’s happening. Some changes hews to be done delicately so as to slowly change the mindset of many.
Every effort is being made to bring us up to the modern era. It’s a daunting task.
    I admire the administration.

  5. I invite anyone of you to dispel anything I said with facts.
Respond to what I wrote and provide an alternate view point by point.

The truth will always win no matter how much nastiness you throw at it.

If ABLP was in opposition and did that all of you would be speaking the truth about it.

The Waladli Power Plant, ABLP killed it and is now dependent on an Arab. Was that not progress hypocrites?

STICK TO THE TOPIC AND RESPOND TO THE POINTS.
