Antigua News Room (ANR) can confirm that a male visitor to the island has drowned.
The tourist said to be in his forties was a guest at Verandah Resort and Spa.
The man’s identity has not yet been released.
It is said the USA national was engaged in water sports activity when he encountered difficulty and died.
Emergency Medical Services responded swiftly but could not save the man’s life.
