REAL NEWS: A video now in circulation shows a Clare Hall Secondary student being brutalized by her male schoolmate.

Now, speculation is rife that the invasion on Tuesday might have been retaliation for this incident.

In the video, the male student is seen pulling a chair from beneath the female student, causing her to fall.

The girl hits him in defense, and the boy retaliates with an onslaught of blows during which the female strikes her head on a nearby desk.

He then stands over the 13-year-old as she stumbles to her feet in a clearly disoriented state.

While the classroom is full of students, no one intervenes to assist the girl; instead, the others stand by filming the fight.

Allegations are that both students were suspended: the female for two days and the male for three.

It is alleged that the parents and the Police were informed of the incident.

  1. And the gyal daddy nar sharpen he cutlass??? This is why this crap happens. It is encouraged. It is the norm. Kids filming instead of helping. Doing it for the likes till she dies and they are ALL LIABLE!! BRAVO stupid kids!! Bravo!!!

  2. It makes sense now…anyway this boy is a coward to treat a girl like that, and so are all the others standing by. Maybe if they had intervened the whole lot of them wouldn’t be traumatized now. Let’s remember to be our brother’s keeper. “Today it’s me, tomorrow it might be you”

  4. Y news media do not get their info straight before pointing fingers? The young man in the video wasn’t even attacked with Tuesdays happening. U all need to findout story before posting shit. Anything Fu mek money smdh.

  5. This is unfair why the girl was suspended, is it that she should alow herself to be bullied by the boy should she not defend herself?
Are you aware that the child (girl)could sustain serious injuries that can affect her for the rest of her life just by that fall? It may not affect her now but later on but yet still she was suspended on top of been hurt.
    THIS LIFE NO BALANCE.

  6. What in the actual fuk. The girl should not be suspended. I get the youth Is playing and got embarrassed by her response. But know your boundaries. He shouldn’t have messed with her to begin with. Somebody should bill he rarss

  7. Well well well. When people do have the right information they tend to say anything. I just knew that everyone would blame this young. The fight did not even start with this male student. It started with another male student who was sitting behind her on her right side and pulled the chair from under the female. She fell and got up upset and put her chair on the foot of the student on the right side. She was so upset that the class was laughing at her because she fall down and never cared to hear that her chair was on the boy’s foot. He pushes the chair off his foot and she fell again. She got up and started hitting him. He took some good know but when the class started laughing at him calling him names that he talking blows at a girl he got upset and started hitting back. That’s when the video was recorded. She was suspended for two days and He was suspended for two weeks.

  8. I’m sorry. I take back my critical comments about the young man and the class. Let’s pray for the youths. They need it now, more than ever.

  9. This is a cry for help and we should pray for the youths of this nation. Saying all these negative things and casting blames is not helpful. My daughter is in this class and she said that it all started when the first classmate seating behind the girl jokingly pulled the chair and she fall. The class laughed and then she got upset and when the girl got up she put her chair the another boy’s foot. The class was laughing and grinning at her telling her she was clumsy and that she was behaving like a baby. She was upset and embarrassed that she didn’t care. The boy in question his foot the chair was on, he pushed the chair off his foot just as she decided to sit and she fall down again. My daughter said that this girl didn’t know that the first fall was done jokingly by a different boy but got up and started hitting the second boy for the second fall. My daughter said this boy don’t really interface with people much, his childish but sweet. She said he took all the blows that the girl gave. He never did anything. When the girl decided to sit back down the class was laughing at him, calling names saying he’s a sissy, and woman bitting him and that provoked him to a point of anger and started lashing back.

Now all this could be avoided. After the first fall the girl should report the matter to the teacher or principle and secondly the boy who’s foot the chair was on, he could just tell her that the chair was on his foot and removed it, but children don’t think mature enough to make this decisions. They take everything for a joke especially when they are idle.

  10. In this situation, it’s a school matter and we should allow the school to deal with it in the most professional way they possibly can. Casting blame and trying to crucify this boy is unfair. This is not a bullying matter. The matter is being dealt with and yes all parties involved with their parents were notified. The girl got two days’ suspension and the boy got two weeks. It’s an unfortunate situation that this happens and I hope that it settles well for everyone.

  11. I don’t think as a country on a whole we understand or taking this serious enough. We say that our young people are the leaders of tomorrow. Well if these are what the leaders of tomorrow are going to have to deal with Antigua and Barbuda future looks bad.
Our leaders of today are doing a poor Job at grooming our youth. So just by appointing a few young people to the senate or voting few into parliament does not mean much. There is a much bigger picture.
I am not in no way or form pointing fingers on any one section of our community. However, the policy makers are mostly to be blamed. Our education system is failing badly, very. Our communities , churches , social groups and parents are all failing badly. If we do not reset then Antigua will be done, done , gone in a very short time. Maybe less than a decade.
So what is a rounded child, what is a successful education system, what is a successful community. It is one that develops , good citizens, well rounded citizens, with civic pride. Do you think a boy with the sense of civic pride will beat up a 13 year old girl. Do you think well rounded young men with good moral and civic pride will enter a school premises with cutlasses. So no amount of cameras will stop this , it will only catch the perpetrators, that will lead to punishment and harden criminals.
I can remember as a boy going to school we respected the girls/ young ladies. We fought fist to fist if we had to settle our differences each other. We had respect for our elders.
So we need to reset and start with the very little children immediately. I once visited Santiago Chile and was surprised of the cleanliness. You could not find a straw on the ground anywhere. It was as clean as a whistle. I found out that it was once called the dirtiest capital city in the world. That the government started with the preschoolers and today it is ione of the cleanest cities in the world.
Our country is dirty. Our moral are poor. We believe in quick fix instead of root fix . A boy detention center will never solve the problem.
I am sure that there are much larger countries in the world, with good civic pride, leaders with good morals values and not about self-enrichment. We are calling for arm guard and not moral guards.
Let’s listen to those patriotic independent calypsos again. Where is your sense of Loyalty, Stand up for Antigua, We pledge to be good citizens, OH Antigua I am worried over you,Let’s put our shoulders to the wheels , Each endeavoring all achieving. God Bless Antiguan.

Well whole class would’ve gone home or 1000 lines would’ve served them well. Bring back old school discipline.

    Let’s take back our youth!

  14. Celebrating the young men that pass 20 subjects is good. Success story is more so when you bring along children from poor, delinquent, broken homes and communities.
So the church school that cater for the well off and bright children and turn away the poor, the church school on the hill that boasts of 100% passes they do not have none of these delinquent children and parents likewise to deal with. So I supported the director of education when he spoke of the vast difference in your private school and the government schools.

  15. ONE THOUGHT or TWO
The report is the ‘female’ student fell twice, received several ‘blows’ and hit her head.
Did she get a ‘physical’ (medical) check up?
The ‘female’ and ‘male’ students were suspended.
During the suspension from school, what do they do at home, what happens to them, where?
A thought is these students can be required at that time to report to school punctually, be in a supervised space with the regular learning assignments and normal breaks during the day.
Learning is a lifetime, continuous process that is to be encouraged, a habit to be developed and cultivated from pre-k. Know that babies through their sense of curiosity are learning about what they see, touch, smell, taste and hear!
It may be wise for all concerned to arrange for the ‘female’ and ‘ male’ students with their parents to meet with one of our Centenarians, SGOE, (Senior Grandparent Order of Excellence), Mrs. Parker, Mr. George T. Merick, punctually at the church on a Sunday where they worship, to meet, talk with and listen to them.
“Except the Lord build the home, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain…..
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
Let us interact with humility, grace, good intentions!
Save our Humanity, Save our Youths, Save our Environment, Save our Soil!!!

    Respect

  16. This is not happening in the school alone Antigua is slowly becoming a lawless place where anyone can do anything at anytime without consequences, howling have we known that loitering, gangs, drugs are taking over our youths?
After school I could have never loitered in town
These days everywhere I go I see school children and they are not afraid to speak badwords or even fight in public
IF ARU REALLY K DO SUMIN,ARU ONLY CHAT WHEN THINGS HAPPEN,GET THE ARMY nd different agencies to help it is slowly becoming a death trap for somebody’s child.BULLYING IS NOT OK,AND MOST TIMES IT COMES FROM THAT ALSO LEADING TO A HUGE SITUATION
