2. Dude just waltz past 50 security guards like it was nothing. Makes me believe anyone can he security. Absolutely 0 training needed. Pathetic. A disgrace. Utterly useless. Shameful, mediocre, worthless trash. “Oh it was the heat of the moment, I didn’t know what to do” shut up, you inept cosplaying pranks. Go find another career. This one clearly isn’t for you.    Another case to give prudent sober minded law abiding citizens firearm license. These germs know they are the only one’s with guns so they’re not afraid to terrorize the public.

4. Cutie you need to pull up the Commissioner, this is getting out a hand. These guys are just walking down streets throwing a mask over their head, casually walking into any business they feel like at times busy with customers carrying out crimes and easily walk out. You just bragged about the apprehension of a male the other day hours after a robbery, which to me sounds a bit made up since anther gun is on the street and it involve one of your officers. 6. Well, after triangulating the information on past robberies, it’s pretty obvious where these criminals live. Police should step up surveillance in that area.

7. So being off duty and unarmed Because they are “SECURITY OFFICERS” their suppose to risk there life off duty and for a establishment that wouldn’t give a dam if they die or help take care of there love ones after, how about you recommend the owner of the place to hire an arm guard…

8. What a bunch of cowards. Those security guards could have easily taken that guy down. Instead, they turned and walked out. Why hire security guards anyway. They can’t do anything but call the police and the police have no car to get their or take to long. What a messed up country.

9. The off duty unarmed security are not the issue, the government is. I haven’t seen or heard the PM speak about the rise in gun violence. This an issue well beyond security guard’s pay scale!

    From a professional perspective, while the nation is experiencing, the citizens are gripped by fear of ‘…an ISLAND-WIDE ROBBERY SPREE.’

    GUN-TOTING-ROBBERS

    Though not ‘…OUTNUMBERED,’ by ‘…GUN-TOTING-ROBBERS,’ and though they cannot be everywhere, ‘…LAW ENFORCERS,’ appeared ‘…OVERWHELMED OR ‘..BANKRUPT OF CRIME FIGHTING IDEAS.’

    ROBBING ARMED LAW ENFORCERS

    They are robbing ‘…Armed Law Enforcers,’ as much as they are robbing defenceless citizens.

    When the ‘…Mighty Sparrow’ sang:

    ‘…Ten to One is Murder,’ he had found himself battling against: ‘…TEN VICIOUS MEN.’

    They were said to have been ‘…ARMED WITH BIG STICK AND BOULDER.’

    Mindful of his own survival, it was said ‘…Not for hell he would surrender.’

    LONE GUNMAN

    Then mysteriously, if not miraculously, he reportedly heard ‘…POH DOW POW,’ all ‘…TEN MEN’ scattered.’

    The only man that did not run, was the ‘…Mighty Sparrow,’ himself.

    Obviously, he was the ‘…LONE GUNMAN.’

    At this ‘…SUPERETTE,’ it was:

    (a) ‘…One Cashier: and

    (b) …Three Customers: and

    (c) …ONE MASKED-ARMED ROBBER.’

    FIRE POWER

    The ‘…LONE ROBBER,’ had the ‘…FIRE POWER.’
    Except the ‘CASHIER,’ every customer, apparently ‘…UNARMED,’ quickly got out of harm’s way.

    SUPERETTE CUSTOMERS – HASTY RETREAT

    While the patrons, and obviously ‘…CUSTOMERS,’ to the ‘…SUPERETTE’ appeared well attired in ‘…SECURITY UNIFORMS,’ of a nearby ‘…Security Firm,’ from their positions, and ‘…HASTY RETREAT,’ they were clearly not ‘…SECURITY PROVIDERS’ for the entity.

    ELEMENT OF SURPRISE – VIRTUALLY HELPLESS

    Without contradiction, with or without weapon, with the ‘…ELEMENT OF SURPRISE,’ every potential victim is ‘…VIRTUALLY HELPLESS.’

    ALWAYS BE OBSERVANT. …EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.

17. Based on this situation, businesses should now realize that this security thing is nonsense. It is said that Brownie’s abandoned hiring security when a security officer was the first to bail during a robbery and did not even raise an alarm-for whatever reason.
    So those: hotels and other businesses hope you have serious security because it appears the ones you have are only good for harassing honest beachgoers etc.

18. I have seen a lot of security officers in Antigua and immediately noticed that 99.9% of them cannot do the job, will not do the job and in it for the money. Not saying to take unnecessary risk but not even the basic they could do?

    However the accent of the robber was Antiguan, and he was the only person with a gun. Competent, trained and educated people in law, criminal justice that provide fire-arms training and use certificate to you in his application file should not be waiting beyond 7 days. Not in this era of frequent vicious crimes with deadly weapons.
