Bold and brazen: A daring gunman strikes local businesses in several afternoon robberies.

The scene unfolded as a light-colored saloon car pulled up to Dee’s Gas Station on Sir George Walter Highway at 1:45 pm.

The assailant leaped out, pointing a gun at a female pump attendant, swiftly seizing her cash bag.

  1. The robber was so casual that it almost seemed like a staged event. I am really surprised at the nonchalant approach businesses are taking towards their security at this time. The criminals are watching and is ready to prance on every opportunity.

    The crime rates are spiralling out of control now. Could both of you please – collectively – address the nation and inform us what you are going to do to curtail this growth?

    Many citizens do not understand why you are not giving answers or reassurances to these daily and ongoing criminal incidents?

    Why?

    Is it lack of police “boots” on the ground? Lack of resources? Or you just don’t care, because it doesn’t directly effect the two of you?

  3. I am asking the parliament of Antigua and Barbuda to please pass a law to allow business owners in Antigua to be able to carry a firearm, people have to work too hard to make a living just to have low life scumbs to just come and take it from them, it’s out of hand now.

I watch world news daily and I never see the government coming on tv or radio to address every crime that happens. Go educate yourself and stop being a dumb islander! B/S.

    • @ intelligent, Sweden 🇸🇪 were going through a similar crime and gun wave, just like Antigua is experiencing at present; and their current Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has ADDRESSED the Swedish citizens of his actions – including putting the army on standby – just in case of matters getting worse.

      Do you have better knowledge and understanding than the Honourable Ulf Kristersson?

  8. Not only the Prime Minister and AG, but also the police commissioner need to come and address the flipping Nation. Isn’t the government the one that sets policy and passes laws.
    I swear some people in this country think with their fricking ass.
    Crime is not getting out of hand, it’s flucking out of hand and not a damm word.
