Browne Dismisses Altered Image, Says ‘We Don’t Discriminate’
Prime Minister and Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) leader Gaston Browne has brushed off a digitally altered image circulating online that appeared to show him kissing ABLP Barbuda candidate Kendra Beazer, saying he was not concerned and using the moment to underscore his stance on inclusivity.
Speaking on Pointe FM’s Browne and Browne Show, Browne acknowledged the image directly and said he chose to repost it on his own social media account rather than react defensively.

“I’m sure you saw… they had me and Kendra… kissing,” Browne said. “So I posted it on my Facebook page.”
He said the image did not affect him, adding that such attacks are not worth serious attention.
“When you’re a real man, you’re not worried about them stuff,” Browne said.
The prime minister framed the incident within a broader message about non-discrimination, saying he does not support targeting individuals based on identity.
“We don’t discriminate,” he said, adding that he supports people across different backgrounds and communities.
Browne said the reaction to his post included messages of support, including from individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community across the Caribbean.
“Some of them actually posted to my page… ‘If I was in Antigua, I’d vote for you,’” he said.
He also suggested that those responsible for circulating such content were misjudging public sentiment.
“They just keep making these silly mistakes,” Browne said.
The image, which appears to have been generated or altered digitally, circulated during an active election campaign, drawing attention on social media platforms.
Browne used the moment to reiterate his broader position on inclusivity, saying he supports “Rasta, dreadlocks, young, old, everybody,” and that discrimination has no place in society.
The incident highlights the growing role of manipulated digital content in political discourse, as candidates and parties navigate misinformation and online campaigning in the lead-up to elections.

Oh you don’t discriminate now?! Hypocrite! We all remember when Kendra was fighting for Barbuda post Irma and you were calling him Kendrina and telling people to lock up their little boys. You, sir, are a raging hypocrite and liar. An opportunist and a snake. You disgust me.
That kiss-up will win he the General Election. Bwoi, mi glad mi soon gone from this God forsaken country with Browne at the helm 🤣🤣🤣
You need to leave sooner. You’re the kind of person that this country does NOT need. Good riddance to bad rubbish!
We are a Christian nation ..Gassy the Fassy!making all the immoral ppl feel welcome too practice they’re obnormal and immortal ways
You’re so pathetic, trying to invoke Christianity in your bigotry. Most of you only want to use Christianity and God as some sort of genie in a bottle who is there to fulfil your twisted desires.
“God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”
Think on these things when you kneel to pray.
In my analysis of Gaston Browne’s political conduct, I argue that he portrays himself as a non-discriminator, especially on LGBTQ+ issues. Yet, he repeatedly discriminates in other ways. For example, he mocked a former police chief, targeting him with slurs about his sexual identity. Separately, he also ridiculed an opponent by commenting on her foot size. Thus, despite his public statements, Browne’s behavior reveals a deep hypocrisy, undermining his supposed inclusive leadership.
The way how Gaston a use this picture that he claim was done by he political opponent is clear to see is ALP political concoction to get votes from the anti-man and lesbian and them, Gaston is signaling to them.
Gaston with the same old damn ALP tricks like we don’t learn what Alp had been doing during the 1970’S
Believe you me @Carter, I cannot wait. However, moving lock, stock and barrel takes time.
You probably have never moved or travelled in your measly and miserable life…
I do look forward to going overseas though (and not only for family reasons), where water isn’t seen as a luxury; crime and sentencing is acted upon in an appropriate manner; driving is a lot lot safer; women are treated with a lot more respect; young girls are protected from predatory older men; a political system that’s transparent and accountable to the public; and Freedom of Information isn’t ignored.
Oh, and how can I forget about moving to pastures new, where the electorate don’t worship or give a political leader CULT status like here in Antigua and America.
Carter, let me know if you need any more of my reasons?
I noticed you didn’t say party sir will you discriminate against party affiliation?
@Cater.
Think of this as well. Where ever there is death, hell follows, and the wages of sin is death, so unless you repent, death and hell will also follow you.
Pick any word that suites you. To correct your brother is also a very good sign of love.
Their is no love without correction, none.
So humble yourself and use the word wisely.
I’m not gonna sit here and fight for the union of two men or two women sleeping together, but I will cry for the same mercy that has been extended to all life in the sacrifice of the Christ, who is now both Lord and Christ.
If you don’t discriminate on faith how is it that during the “Covid” pandemic you only allowed the Rasta to get exempted from mandatory vaccination and not the TRUE Christian of God church?
@Brixtonian…. No offence, I’m from the UK and clean water here is definitely a luxury so what the hell are you talking about? Clearly, you have lived away for far too long to remember Thatcher, Cameron, Truss and Johnson as the worst PMs of the last century. If you don’t like Antigua then please do us all a favour and come back to the UK where you will gain a swift reminder of life on the BREADLINE. Then again I guess you have so much money that poverty is something you won’t understand either.
BTW for you to use your ability to afford to travel as a means of belittling someone else is deplorable. Poverty is not something that should be weaponised much like lack of education etc. You are soooo deluded and up your own a*se! Nothing is worse than people who judge others who disagree with them and then berate them for what they don’t have. You are sickening and pathetic. Lord knows Antigua will be better off without you in it.
