  1. When and where was that Pensioners Beach listed for sale? I would like to see the asking price for that area. I knew it as Sidehill Beach as a boy. Now, it is known as Pensioners Beach.

  2. $15 per sq. ft. for a bit of land on the sand is a hell of a lot cheaper than what I have paid but if Antiguan-born citizens don’t want to or can’t buy it at that price then of course others will see the investment opportunity and move forward. It’s the same everywhere from St. Kitts to Jamaica to New York to London and beyond. Why would Antigua be any different? It’s the way of the world.

    • Yea man… Jamaica, NY and London are well known for their financial equality and people are loving the price of rent and totally believe they are able to buy a home in their lifetime. I don’t think you realize people hate house prices in NY and London. Jamaica is well known for their violence and neglect for the ghetto which contribute for their high murder rate and crime. The worlds most used housing system is a joke. Why you think most of them had social housing in England’s prime and Asia today.

  3. What does he expect?
Rather than investigating why; Gaston Browne can only grandstand on his radio station.
He sounds like an African despot.
Locals are not convinced that it an equitable scheme.
Many local are living pay check to paycheck.
How about developing a master plan for the area, so buyers are not just purchasing land but purchasing a lot in an area that has infrastructure inplace.
This has no vision. He is just a grandstander.

  4. Did he make it easier for Arab Nationals to apply just as they make even easier for them?
Is this a way of justifying the development of an Arab National community?
Who is he blaming for this outcome?

  5. Actions actions actions.

And what are you doing Mr PM to make that possible for the locals, what?

As much effort as you put in the Alpha to acquire it, and for the Africans to come here(I’m not against Arabs or Africans by the way) all that the humble locals are asking is for you to put that same effort into them getting the benefit of their hard work, simple. Where is the Herculean effort for your people Gatson?

Isn’t that what all of you promised when y’all got elected?

We can hate trump as we like, but at least he is following up on the promises the people voted for with actions. Can’t blame a man for that..but it seems what Gatson Browne has is all talk.

The land is free Gatson, you didn’t pay a dime for it, it’s Antiguan’s and Barbudians land, isn’t it?

But at least I see you and your band of merry men put great efforts in securing y’all little plots around Antigua.

This is just shameful and rather disrespectful..we need righteous politicians that follow their words..enough of all these hoodwinkers just living off the gullible citizens.

  6. It seems like a carpet has already been placed to accommodate a preferred class or ethnicity. Why didn’t he say that some people are complaining about the price? He specifically identified Antiguans as the ones who are critiquing the cost and mostly, not concerned, while the Arabs are all in on the deal. These persons will dash at the first opportunity to leave their seismic region and they always pack their culture too, and when this government smells money, it drops its guard right at its feet and and goes on a sniffing hunt. Is there no incentives for us? Why couldn’t there be different prices for nationals and non-nationals? I think that this project is designed exclusively for the Arabs but the PM had to make a case of how comatose we are. Maybe if we saw some correspondence to the Arab community we would understand that they were invited. The government is certainly not following what’s happening on the African Continent.

  7. Im not racist but people of your own don’t spend money… hmm even his elites are complaining about high prices which is funny af to hear. This guy actually believe Antigua and Barbuda is just lands to be sold nothing more nothing less.

  8. Antiguans only deserve things like the Booby Alley project, that’s how Gaston sees us. We are boobies in his eyes and nothing else, only at election time we become useful

  9. This will soon be Arab Land no more Antigua
They are buying up all the beaches and making them private Shameful
